Vanilla Wood Staining

Adds recipes for converting wood types to each other.

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Data pack only.

⬇ Download for 1.19–1.19.4⬇ Download for 1.16–1.18.2⬇ Download for 1.15–1.15.2
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

You may ignore version incompatibility warnings if you have downloaded the version of the data pack associated with the version of Minecraft you are playing.

This data pack adds recipes for converting wood types to each other. All recipes involve surrounding a dye with wooden blocks of your choosing. Most wood types can be converted to lighter or darker variants using white and brown dyes respectively. Oak wood can be stained orange with orange dye to make jungle, and jungle wood makes acacia. Jungle and acacia woods can be bleached with white dye to reverse this recipe.

Birch can be stained cyan to make warped woods, jungle can be stained purple to make crimson woods, and oak can be stained red to make mangrove woods. All of these interactions can be reversed with white dye.
