Cute Cars
Drivable, blocky little cars that was built entirely from vanilla blocks and items. No resource pack. No client mods. Just hop in and drive.

Cute Cars adds five original, stylized vehicles to your server using display entities - so every car renders in full color for every player, out of the box. Spawn one, climb in, and take it for a spin with simple, arcade-friendly controls. Cars follow the terrain and fall under their own weight, run on a craftable fuel item, and are managed through one clean, permission-gated command.



Features

• 5 original vehicles, each a distinct voxel-art design inspired by a classic car archetype:
  • Peak LC — sleek luxury grand tourer, black body with a white roof and tinted blue glass
  • Toro Bravo — angular wide-body supercar, lime and yellow with a rear wing
  • Rosso Corsa — 80s wedge supercar, red with a black roof and rear wing
  • Silverline 911 — rounded classic sports car, silver with iron trim and blue glass
  • Mustang Classic — American muscle car, matte black with an orange hood stripe
• No resource pack required — every car is built from in-game block display entities.
• Real ground physics — cars follow the terrain beneath them, climb small steps and slopes, and fall under gravity when they drive off a ledge instead of hovering in mid-air.
• Rigid, seamless bodies — each vehicle's shape is driven as a single rigid unit, so cars hold their form cleanly through turns at any angle.
• Working lights — glowing headlights up front and red tail lights at the rear on every model.
• Smooth driving feel — a reflection-based movement layer smooths out motion, with an automatic fallback to standard API calls if it isn't available on your setup.
• Fuel-driven gameplay — cars consume fuel while driving and stop when empty, keeping driving part of the survival loop instead of a free toggle.
• Simple management — one command to spawn, remove, list, and refuel vehicles.

Right-click a car to get in. Steering only takes effect while the car is moving, so a parked car won't spin in place.

Crafting & Fuel
Cars run on Car Fuel, a custom item crafted with a simple recipe:

1 Coal Block + 1 Bucket → 64x Car Fuel

Driving steadily consumes fuel from the car's tank; once it's empty, the car stops until refueled. Right-click a car while holding Car Fuel to top it up, or use /cutecars refuel (with permission).

Requirements

• Minecraft / Spigot API: 26.2
• Java: 21 or newer
• A standard Spigot (or Spigot-based) server

Installation

1. Download the CuteCars jar file.
2. Drop it into your server's plugins/ folder.
3. Restart (or reload) your server.
4. Grant the permissions below to whichever players or staff should have access.
5. Spawn your first car with /cutecars spawn <model> and start driving.

Permissions
Permission Description
cutecars.use Allows a player to drive, refuel, and interact with cars.
cutecars.admin Allows spawning, removing, and managing cars on the server.

/cutecars remove Removes a targeted or nearby vehicle.
/cutecars list Lists available vehicle models and/or active cars.
/cutecars refuel Refuels a vehicle using Car Fuel.
Aliases: /cc works in place of /cutecars.

FAQ
Does this need a resource pack? No. Every vehicle is built entirely from vanilla blocks using display entities, so they look correct for every player with no downloads required.

Are these based on real car brands? Each vehicle is an original, stylized voxel-art design inspired by a classic car archetype (for example, a wedge-shaped 80s supercar or a rounded classic sports car). None are licensed reproductions of, or affiliated with, any real car manufacturer.

What happens when a car runs out of fuel? It stops. Fuel is consumed while driving, so keep a stack of Car Fuel handy — craft more anytime from a coal block and a bucket.

Which way do cars face when spawned? Cars spawn squared up to the nearest cardinal direction (north/south/east/west) based on the way you're facing, so they always park neatly against the block grid.

Do cars persist through a restart? No. Cars are removed when their chunk unloads or the server stops, so they never leave orphaned entities behind in your world.

Will more cars be added later? Version 1.0 ships with 5 vehicles. Additional models, garages, and paint job customization are being considered for future updates, but are not part of this release.
