No WorldEdit or FAWE required — everything is built-in. Ultra-optimized for minimal server impact.
Your server needs zones that regenerate themselves (arenas, mines, events, test worlds…) and you want to do it without lag, without bulky plugins, and with full control.
zMZoneReset lets you:
- Create zones with a simple selection tool (wand included) — no WorldEdit needed.
- Restore blocks using the most efficient strategy: DIFF (only changed blocks) or SNAPSHOT (full copy).
- Decide automatically (AUTO mode) between DIFF and SNAPSHOT based on the percentage of changes.
- Schedule resets with a custom timer per zone.
- Announce global countdowns (with titles, sounds, and fully configurable messages).
- Protect players during resets: kick them out, warn them, or block interactions.
- Integrate with PlaceholderAPI for progress bars, remaining time, and status on your scoreboards/TAB.
- Zero external dependencies – No WorldEdit, FAWE, or anything else required. Just Paper or Folia.
- Ultra-optimized performance – Adaptive TPS-based scheduling, configurable time per tick, and queued resets to prevent server strain.
- ZSTD compression (with GZIP fallback) – Snapshots take up much less space and restore faster.
- Automatic crash recovery – If the server crashes during a reset, it automatically resumes on restart.
- Per-zone configuration – Interval, strategy, custom spawn, messages, and much more.
- Full GUI menus – Manage zones, settings, and info right from in-game.
- Global countdown & selective notifications – Warnings to all players before reset, and notifications only to those inside the zone.
- Fully customizable – Messages, sounds, titles, progress bar, colors… all in YAML.
- Multi-language support – Includes English and Spanish, easy to add new languages.
- Requires WorldEdit/FAWE? – zMZoneReset: No | WorldEdit+Scripts: Yes | FAWE+CommandHelper: Yes
- Restoration strategies – zMZoneReset: AUTO, DIFF, SNAPSHOT | Others: only //restore (slow) or //regen
- Adaptive performance – zMZoneReset: Yes (by TPS) | Others: No
- Compressed snapshots – zMZoneReset: ZSTD/GZIP | Others: Flat files
- Crash recovery – zMZoneReset: Automatic | Others: Manual
- Admin GUI – zMZoneReset: Yes | Others: Commands only
- Native placeholders – zMZoneReset: Yes (PlaceholderAPI) | Others: No
- Per-zone configuration – zMZoneReset: Full | Others: Limited
- AUTO – (Recommended) The plugin decides based on the change threshold. Best of both worlds.
- DIFF – Zones with few changes (typically <30%). Very fast and low disk usage.
- SNAPSHOT – Heavily modified zones (>30%) or when you need exact restoration. Complete and reliable.
zMZoneReset is built for performance from the ground up:
- Adaptive scheduling – Automatically reduces workload if TPS drops below your target (default: 19.0).
- Tick budget control – Default max of 4ms per tick — configurable to your server's needs.
- Queued resets – Only one zone resets at a time (configurable) to avoid I/O spikes.
- Smart entity cleanup – Removes items, TNT, projectiles, falling blocks, and custom EntityTypes you specify.
- No chunk loading overhead – Works exclusively with saved snapshots — no WorldEdit dependency means no unnecessary chunk operations.
- Lightweight snapshots – ZSTD compression (with GZIP fallback) keeps disk usage minimal.
