A fully procedural, highly-detailed maze generator. Every maze is carved fresh from a pathfinding algorithm at generation time, from an 11x11 closet up to a 256x256 labyrinth, and no two runs are ever the same layout.
The mazes aren't for show, they're built to really, really hurt the player! Getting to the other side poses a real challenge.

- Pit traps: lava, a den of hostiles to parkour around, or a swarm with at least one ranged attacker mixed in so hiding behind cover stops working. Wall traps hide dispensers inside the passage walls, wired to tripwires across the floor. Some fire arrows. Some fire potions. Some just summon something behind you. You won't know which until it's too late – sometimes both walls fire at once. Hidden floor traps disguise dispensers under pressure plates – one of them might just spawn a bucket of lava beneath you. Skeleton cages tucked into open floor, just deep enough to see and shoot you but not deep enough to be dodged from a distance.

But all of this is worth it – find the dead ends, and you'll find treasures. Or simply challenge yourself to reach the other side.

Every trap type rolls independently, stacks with the others, and is placed with full awareness of every other trap already generated.

All of this makes Maze Engine one of, if not the most, technically advanced procedural structures of its kind.

The whole maze lives inside a tapering, terraced Aztec temple with a staircase and a guarded summit shrine, or a true-to-a-point Egyptian pyramid capped in solid gold. Both are generated with the same engine as the maze underneath – nicely-textured via noise, weathered like something actually old, and built to reach the ground on every side instead of floating over a bare box. Two civilizations, two silhouettes, one awesome generator.
Entities that spawn in the maze also vary slightly based on the Egyptian/Aztec theme available.

Runs at any size without freezing your world: the whole thing builds itself in paced batches over multiple ticks, so even a 256-block dungeon never trips the watchdog or locks up a live server.

Activate the behavior pack in a world, and run the commands to generate the maze with your desired theme!

Generate Command Usage:

Generate an Aztec temple themed maze:
/mazeengine:generateaztecan <position x y z> <sizeX> <sizeZ> [optional: seed] [ticksPerBatch]

Generate an Egyptian pyramid themed maze:
/mazeengine:generateegyptian <position x y z> <sizeX> <sizeZ> [optional: seed] [ticksPerBatch]

e.g. This will generate a 32x32 egyptian pyramid themed maze 10 blocks away from you.
/mazeengine:generateegyptian ~10 ~ ~10 32 32

Hint: Same seed + same size = same maze every time.
Recommendation: Set Simulation Distance to 12 Chunks (World Settings -> Advanced) if generating larger mazes further away from the player/active chunks, or you'll get errors.
Limitations:
The structures can strictly be spawned by commands, they will not occur naturally in your world due to their sheer complexity and the long time it gets to generate them, especially on older hardware.
Instead, creators may use the structures generated by this behavior pack as structures in their own add-ons, worlds, servers, etc... by simply disclosing this pack was used to generate them.
