EXCIDIUM: Seraphim Ghidorah

EXCIDIUM is a large-scale Minecraft Bedrock kaiju addon centered around Seraphim Ghidorah, an extinction-level world boss capable of devastating creatures, structures, and entire landscapes. Godzilla is also fully supported as a second kaiju, allowing large-scale kaiju-versus-kaiju battles alongside combat against players and other targets.

Seraphim Ghidorah

Seraphim Ghidorah is designed as an intelligent, persistent world threat rather than a conventional Minecraft mob. He primarily walks across the terrain, using limited flight when obstacles, elevation, or combat conditions require it.

His movement and attacks are connected to his actual body structure, including three independently controlled heads, segmented necks, wings, legs, claws, torso, and tails.

Ghidorah features:

Black Hole Attack

Ghidorah’s Black Hole is an extinction-scale attack that creates a massive gravitational field around its target.

The singularity:

The Black Hole is intended to feel like a major world event rather than an ordinary projectile.

Black Hole Sword

Black Hole Sword manifests exactly three enormous black-void blades around Seraphim Ghidorah. Their appearance combines deep black surfaces, molten-gold light, and violet gravitational energy.

Once manifested, the blades deliver three separate 22,000-damage strikes from Ghidorah’s central attack origin. Each strike can hit creatures, players, or opposing kaiju and produces powerful impact and destruction effects.

The Omen

Ghidorah’s arrival is presented through a nine-stage Omen sequence that gradually announces the approaching extinction event.

The sequence includes escalating atmospheric effects, warnings, environmental disturbances, and a one-second sepia prophecy impact frame. Ghidorah does not immediately begin attacking during the early stages. The final stage transitions him into his landing sequence and activates the full boss encounter.

Godzilla

Godzilla is a fully supported second kaiju rather than a visual placeholder. He uses the same reusable kaiju simulation systems while retaining movement and combat behavior suited to his own body structure.

Godzilla features:

Kaiju-versus-Kaiju Combat

Seraphim Ghidorah and Godzilla can recognize and fight each other through physical combat systems connected to their body regions.

Their battles can include:

Combat is calculated using spatial body regions instead of relying entirely on disconnected animations.

Virtual Kaiju Simulation

EXCIDIUM uses a persistent virtual simulation system to manage enormous creatures more efficiently.

Each kaiju continues to maintain important information such as:

Four simulation levels allow kaiju to remain active at different distances. Nearby creatures receive full combat and movement simulation, while distant creatures use progressively lighter processing. Their visible bodies can be recreated when players return to the area.

Custom Hit Regions

Combat uses rig-derived spatial regions constructed from spheres, ellipsoids, and capsule chains.

Seraphim Ghidorah uses 15 major hit regions, while Godzilla uses 10. These regions allow attacks to distinguish between different parts of each kaiju, including heads, necks, wings, torso, limbs, and tails.

This system supports:

Environmental Destruction

Kaiju attacks can damage the surrounding terrain, allowing Black Holes, beams, impacts, footsteps, and close-range combat to leave visible destruction behind.

The destruction engine uses processing limits and avoids protected or unsafe block types where possible. Containers, liquids, unloaded areas, and other sensitive blocks receive additional protection.

Because the addon contains extremely destructive attacks, it is strongly recommended to use a backed-up world.

Performance and Persistence

EXCIDIUM includes bounded scheduling, effect budgets, destruction limits, safe terrain checks, and simulation-level management to support large creatures without performing every calculation at maximum detail.

Kaiju states persist across saving and loading. If a visible kaiju body is removed because it is too far away or its area becomes unloaded, the underlying creature can continue existing in the virtual simulation and return when the area becomes relevant again.

Testing Commands

The addon includes operator functions for quickly testing its systems:

/function excidium/arrival
/function excidium/spawn_ghidorah
/function excidium/spawn_godzilla
/function excidium/duel
/function excidium/blackhole
/function excidium/blackhole_sword
/function excidium/status
/function excidium/debug_on
/function excidium/debug_off
/function excidium/remove_all

arrival begins the complete Omen sequence.

spawn_ghidorah summons an active, ground-focused Seraphim Ghidorah.

spawn_godzilla summons Godzilla.

duel creates both kaiju in a combat-testing layout.

blackhole forces the nearest active Ghidorah to cast Black Hole.

blackhole_sword forces the nearest active Ghidorah to manifest and use the three Black Hole blades.

status displays active kaiju information.

debug_on displays sampled body-region positions.

remove_all removes all active EXCIDIUM kaiju and their visible representations.
