FFAplus

Overview

FFAplus is a lightweight PaperMC 1.21 FFA plugin built for fast-paced arena gameplay. It includes arena selection, custom kits, a kit editor, combat tagging, auto-respawn, void protection, and action bar combat timers.

This project is currently in an alpha stage, so bugs and balance changes may happen during development.

Features

Arena System

• Players can open an arena selection menu with /ffa
• Supports multiple arena types such as mace and nomace
• Arena spawn points can be configured and updated by admins

Kit System

• Players can receive kits with /kit give
• Includes a base weapon, armor, and optional kit-specific items
• Supports custom per-player kit layouts

Kit Editor

• Players can open a kit editor GUI with /kiteditor
• Lets players customize their loadout visually
• Layouts are saved per player for future use

Combat System

• Players are tagged in combat after taking damage from another player
• Combat tags prevent unsafe actions during the countdown
• Players who log out during combat are eliminated
• Combat countdown timers are shown in the action bar

Spawn & Survival Features

• Spawn items are provided on join and respawn
• Players are automatically respawned after death
• Void damage is prevented and players are safely returned to spawn

Commands

/kit give [player] [kit]

Gives a kit to a player.

/ffa

Opens the arena selection menu.

/ffa setspawn [mace|nomace]

Sets the spawn location for the selected arena.

/kiteditor

Opens the kit editor GUI.

Permissions

ffaplus.admin

Allows access to admin kit and spawn management commands.

Setup

1. Place the FFAplus jar into your Paper server's plugins folder.
2. Start the server once so the default configuration files are created.
3. Configure arena spawns in the plugin config if needed.
4. Restart the server and join the game.

Notes

• FFAplus is currently an alpha build.
• Expect bugs, balance changes, and feature adjustments during development.
• The plugin is designed for PaperMC 1.21 and uses modern Paper-compatible API features.
