GHeads

A lightweight, customizable Golden Heads plugin for Minecraft servers.

GHeads adds craftable Golden Heads that provide configurable regeneration and absorption effects when consumed. It is designed to work across a wide range of server versions without forcing server owners to install separate builds.

Supported versions

GHeads is designed to support Minecraft Java servers from 1.12 through 26.2.

Supported server software includes:

• Paper
• Folia
• Spigot
• Other compatible Bukkit-based server implementations

Some older server versions may display a harmless legacy-plugin warning because the plugin intentionally does not declare an api-version, allowing the same JAR to load on Minecraft 1.12 and newer versions.

Commands

Command	Description
/gheads give [player] [amount]	Gives Golden Heads to a player
/gheads reload	Reloads the configuration
/gheads version	Displays the installed plugin version

Command aliases:

Permissions

Permission	Description
gheads.*	Grants all GHeads permissions
gheads.give	Allows use of the give command
gheads.reload	Allows reloading the plugin

Configuration

Nearly every part of the plugin can be changed through config.yml, including:

• Golden Head display name
• Item lore
• Player-head texture
• Crafting recipe and ingredients
• Regeneration duration and amplifier
• Absorption duration and amplifier
• Consumption cooldown
• Messages
• Permission nodes
• Recipe result amount

The generated configuration includes comments explaining each available option.

Folia support

GHeads includes proper Folia scheduler handling instead of only declaring Folia compatibility in its plugin metadata.

Player-related actions use entity schedulers, while shared operations use the appropriate global scheduler.

Installation

1. Download GHeads.jar.
2. Place it inside your server's plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Edit plugins/GHeads/config.yml as needed.
5. Run /gheads reload after making configuration changes.

Requirements

• Java 8 or newer, depending on the requirements of your Minecraft server version
• A compatible Bukkit, Spigot, Paper, or Folia server

No external plugins or libraries are required.
