EconomyMC

EconomyMC is a complete economy, land-management and server-management mod for Minecraft.

It is designed for multiplayer servers that want much more than a simple /balance command. EconomyMC combines player accounts, a server treasury, taxes, plots, trading, jobs, checks, banking, loans, daily rewards, administration tools and many other systems into one connected economy.

Most features are controlled through in-game menus, so players and administrators do not need to remember large numbers of commands.

EconomyMC is available for supported NeoForge and Fabric versions.

A Treasury-Based Money Cycle

One of the core ideas behind EconomyMC is a circulating server economy.

Instead of money simply appearing or disappearing during normal gameplay, many EconomyMC systems move money between players and the server treasury.

For example:

This allows server owners to build an economy where money has a source, a destination and a purpose instead of using completely independent balance systems.

Administrative tools can still create, remove or directly adjust money when necessary, but the normal EconomyMC gameplay systems are designed around keeping money circulating through the economy.

What can EconomyMC do?

EconomyMC provides a complete server economy including:

Menu-Based Economy

The main EconomyMC command is:

/ec

This opens the main EconomyMC menu.

From there, players can access their plots, the market, shop, jobs, checks, payments, bank, daily rewards, notifications and other economy features.

Admins and authorized players receive additional management menus for treasury control, economy configuration, player management, access permissions, backups, Capital Areas and server administration.

Commands are still available as shortcuts, but most normal EconomyMC usage can be handled through the menus.

EconomyMC Main menu

Economy System

EconomyMC includes:

Starting money is paid from the treasury, allowing servers to operate with a controlled money supply instead of simply creating new money for every player.

Plots & Land

EconomyMC includes an extensive land economy.

Players can:

Land prices can be configured by the server.

EconomyMC can integrate with Open Parties and Claims / OpenPAC for claim-based land management, but OpenPAC is optional.

Market & Shop

EconomyMC contains separate systems for player and server trading.

Features include:

Important marketplace operations include recovery mechanisms designed to reduce the risk of incomplete transactions after a server interruption or crash.

Jobs

The Jobs system allows players and servers to create structured work offers.

Jobs can include:

Rewards and job states are stored persistently.

Checks

Players can create EconomyMC checks through the menu.

A check contains a redeemable code that can be entered through chat.

This allows voucher-style money transfers without requiring both players to be online at the same time.

Server Bank & Loans

EconomyMC includes a server banking system with:

Active debt can also be displayed in the player's EconomyMC statistics.

Foreclosure

If enabled by the server, overdue loans can eventually trigger automatic foreclosure.

Foreclosure can be configured with:

By default, foreclosure valuation can use a percentage of the configured chunk value.

Capital Areas

Capital Areas are special EconomyMC-managed regions designed for server-controlled economic areas.

EconomyMC supports multiple Capital profiles.

Each profile can have:

Admins can select which Capital profile is currently active.

When Xaero's World Map integration is available, Capital Areas can be selected and managed directly through the map.

OpenPAC Integration

EconomyMC supports Open Parties and Claims / OpenPAC.

With OpenPAC installed, EconomyMC can use claim information for its land and plot systems.

OpenPAC server-claim profiles can also be used for special areas such as:

OpenPAC is optional. EconomyMC can operate without a claim mod.

Xaero's World Map Integration

EconomyMC can integrate with Xaero's World Map.

Depending on the installed version and configuration, the integration can provide:

Xaero's World Map is optional.

Administration

EconomyMC provides extensive in-game administration tools.

Admins can manage:

Many administrative actions can be performed without leaving Minecraft.

Player Restrictions

Individual players can be restricted from specific parts of the economy.

Available restrictions include:

A frozen EconomyMC account cannot participate in normal EconomyMC transactions.

Backups & Data Safety

EconomyMC includes tools for:

EconomyMC also includes transaction recovery and data validation for several important economy systems.

First Public Release

EconomyMC 3.0 is the first public release of EconomyMC.

The project has undergone extensive development and testing before release, but EconomyMC is a large mod with many interacting systems and many possible server configurations.

If you discover a problem, please report it instead of assuming it is already known.

Bug Reports & Feedback

Bug reports are very welcome.

If you encounter an error, unexpected behavior or compatibility problem, please create an issue on the EconomyMC GitHub issue tracker linked on this project page.

When reporting a bug, please include as much of the following information as possible:

Good bug reports help make EconomyMC more reliable for everyone.

Feedback and suggestions are also welcome.

Optional Integrations

EconomyMC can be used together with:

These integrations are optional.

You can also use EconomyMC as a standalone economy mod if your server only needs balances, treasury management, menus, jobs, shops, checks, taxes, banking, loans and other economy features.
