ABOUT

NexJail is a powerful and fully configurable jail plugin for modern Minecraft servers.

It provides permanent and temporary jails, protected jail regions, automatic inventory saving and restoration, persistent jail data, customizable messages, custom jail locations, and complete command blocking while players are jailed.

INVENTORY SAVE & RESTORE

When a player is jailed, NexJail automatically saves their original inventory.

Saved contents include:

✔ Main Inventory
✔ Armor
✔ Off-Hand

The inventory is then cleared while the player is jailed.

When the player is released, their exact original inventory is automatically restored.

Inventory data remains persistent through:

✔ Server Restarts
✔ Server Shutdowns
✔ Player Reconnects
✔ Death While Jailed
✔ Offline Temporary Jail Expiration

NexJail is designed to prevent inventory loss and duplication.

COMMAND BLOCKING

While jailed, players cannot use commands.

ALL commands are blocked by default.

This includes commands such as:

/spawn
/home
/tpa
/tp
/warp
/back
/gamemode
/give
/kill

and commands from other plugins.

A configurable fallback blocked-command list is also available in config.yml.

Jailed players receive:

NexJail: This command does not work in Jail.

JAIL LOCATIONS

NexJail supports:

• Jail Center
• Jail Location
• UnJail Location

Jail Location has priority over Jail Center.

UnJail Location has priority over the normal server spawn.

JAIL REGION

Create a protected jail region using:

/jailpos1
/jailpos2
/setjail

The region works correctly regardless of which position is higher or lower on the X, Y, or Z axis.

Players cannot escape the configured jail region.

Temporary jail supports:

Timers use real timestamps instead of simply counting down server ticks.

This means timers remain accurate during:

Permanently jail a player.

Set the jail center.

Temporarily jail a player.

Release a jailed player.

Set the first jail region position.

Set the exact jail teleport location.

️ PERMISSION SAFETY

NexJail does NOT remove or modify player permissions.

It does NOT:

✘ De-op players
✘ Remove LuckPerms groups
✘ Remove LuckPerms permissions
✘ Change ranks
✘ Change prefixes
✘ Change suffixes

Jail restrictions are handled through event-based protection.

When the player is released, their original permissions and commands work again automatically.

NexJail provides easy-to-edit configuration files.

No source-code editing is required for normal configuration.

INSTALLATION

1. Download NexJail.
2. Put NexJail.jar into your server's plugins folder.
3. Restart your server.
4. Configure config.yml and messages.yml.
5. Set your jail positions:

/jailpos1
/jailpos2
/setjail

6. Set your jail location:

/setjaillocation

7. Set your release location:

/setunjail

8. NexJail is ready to use.
