SponsorSystem
SponsorSystem is a trust-based sponsorship and player accountability plugin designed for Minecraft SMP and community servers.
As servers grow, it becomes harder to control who joins the community. A player may invite a friend, that friend may invite another person, and eventually unknown players can gain access to the server without any connection to the community. SponsorSystem helps solve this problem by creating a sponsorship system where every new player is introduced by an existing member.
How It Works
Players who join without a sponsor are placed into a verification state. They cannot fully access the server until another trusted player sponsors them.
Existing players can invite new members using the sponsorship system. Once the invited player accepts, they become connected through a sponsor relationship.
Example:
Alex sponsors Steve
Steve sponsors Bob
Bob sponsors John
This creates a community trust network where players are connected through the people who invited them.
Features
Sponsorship System
- Players can invite and sponsor new members.
- Each player can have one active sponsor.
- Sponsors can sponsor multiple players.
- View sponsorship information and history.
- Track who invited who.
New Player Protection
Players without a sponsor are placed into a restricted verification mode.
During verification:
- Normal gameplay access is disabled.
- Movement and interactions can be restricted.
- Configurable effects can be applied.
- Players must receive sponsorship before joining the community.
Sponsor Accountability
Sponsors are responsible for the players they invite.
If a sponsored player breaks server rules, administrators can report the player and apply consequences to both the offender and their sponsor.
Example:
Steve destroyed another player's base.
Steve: 48 hour temporary ban
Alex (Sponsor): 4 hour temporary ban
All punishments can be customized through the configuration.
Configurable Punishments
Create your own punishment categories:
