ClientModGate

is not an anti-cheat; it is better than anti-cheat.

While anti-cheats block cheats when they are detected in use, our plugin blocks unauthorized clients as soon as they attempt to log in.

How it works

  1. The Minecraft client sends a request to join the server. This is the step when someone wants to play on the server.

  2. Then ClientModGate gets this request. Starts checking the client to see what is going on.

  3. Next the system looks at the Minecraft mods that are installed on the players client. This is like a scan to see what mods they have.

  4. After that ClientModGate checks to see if it finds any mods that are not allowed. This is a decision, for the security of the server.

  5. Finally ClientModGate makes a decision based on what it found.
