Quartz Tools — A Complete Mid-Tier Equipment Set

Quartz Tools introduces a brand-new, fully balanced equipment tier built entirely around Quartz — bridging the gap between Iron and Diamond gear. This addon adds a complete toolset and a full armor set, each with custom stats, unique crafting recipes, and scripted vanilla-style block interactions that make Quartz feel like a genuine, native Minecraft tier rather than a reskin.

⚒️ Tools

All five tools are craftable at a Crafting Table using Quartz + Sticks, following the same shapes as their vanilla counterparts, and share a durability of 300 — tougher than Iron, though not as long-lasting as Diamond.

Quartz Sword — 7 attack damage, 300 durability.

Quartz Pickaxe — 6 attack damage, 300 durability, mining speed 7 on pickaxe-mineable blocks, full enchantability.

Quartz Axe — 6 attack damage, 300 durability, mining speed 7 on axe-mineable blocks. Can also strip logs, wood, stems, hyphae, and bamboo blocks, just like vanilla axes.

Quartz Shovel — 5 attack damage, 300 durability, mining speed 7 on shovel-mineable blocks. Can turn dirt, grass blocks, mycelium, and podzol into grass paths.

Quartz Hoe — 6 attack damage, 300 durability, mining speed 7 on hoe-mineable blocks. Can till dirt, grass blocks, and grass paths into farmland, and turn coarse dirt / rooted dirt back into plain dirt.

Every tool is enchantable (enchantment value 10, using its correct vanilla enchanting slot) and fully repairable with raw Quartz, restoring durability plus a 10% bonus of the tool's max durability per repair.

🛡️ Quartz Armor Set

A complete four-piece armor set — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots — offering 20 total armor points, matching Diamond-level protection, while keeping durability values positioned between Iron and Diamond gear for balanced progression.

Each armor piece is enchantable, supports Armor Trims (fully compatible with vanilla smithing templates), and can be repaired using raw Quartz in the same way as the tools.

🧠 Scripted Behavior (Powered by @minecraft/server)

Beyond simple stat sheets, Quartz Tools uses a custom JavaScript component (tools_levels:multi_tool_logic) to fix a known Bedrock engine limitation: custom minecraft:digger items normally don't lose durability when mining. This addon restores that missing durability loss for all five tools and layers in genuine vanilla-style interactions:

Hoe → tills farmland (with vanilla's "must have air above" rule respected)

Shovel → creates grass paths

Axe → strips logs, wood, stems, hyphae, and bamboo blocks

All of this is handled seamlessly through data-driven items and a lightweight script — no resource pack hacks, no compatibility issues.

🔨 Crafting

All nine items are craftable at a Crafting Table using Quartz in the exact same shapes as their vanilla Iron/Diamond equivalents (Quartz + Sticks for tools, pure Quartz for armor), so the recipes feel instantly familiar to any Minecraft player.

Requires Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0 or newer (uses @minecraft/server v2.9.0 and the Script API)
