SpruceBounty

Bounties that keep up with the game.

Most bounty plugins still list 1.21.x. SpruceBounty is built against Paper 26.2 from day one, and we publish a compatible update within 72 hours of every Paper release for a new drop — that's the SpruceWorks pledge, tracked publicly in our changelogs.

What it does

• Set bounties with Vault money: /bounty set <player> <amount> — multiple players can stack onto one target, contributions tracked per placer.
• Claim on kill: full pot to the killer, configurable broadcast (chat + optional title).
• Paginated GUI (/bounty list) with player heads, sort by amount or newest.
• /bounty top, /bounty check, /bounty cancel with configurable refund %.
• Admin tools: remove, clear, reload — with full contributor refunds by default, no database surgery needed.

Anti-abuse, built in

• Per killer→victim claim cooldown blunts alt farming (default 30 min).
• Optional same-IP kill ignore (on by default).
• Immunity permission for staff. No self-bounties. Environment kills never pay.

Server-owner friendly

• Every player-facing string in messages.yml, full MiniMessage — hex, gradients, hover, the lot. No legacy color codes anywhere.
• config.yml covers min/max amounts, placement tax, refunds, cooldowns.
• SQLite storage, async writes, saves on change and shutdown.
• PlaceholderAPI (soft-depend): %sprucebounty_own%, %sprucebounty_top_name%, %sprucebounty_top_amount%.
• bStats metrics (id 32880). Requires an economy plugin with Vault.

Versions & platforms

• Paper 26.2 (api-version 26.2), Java 25.
• Folia: scheduler-safe internals, official support in testing — a Folia build for 26.2 doesn't exist yet; the moment it does, we test and flip the flag. Follow the changelog.

Roadmap

• v1.1: GUI search.
• SpruceBounty+ (in development): bounty boosters, decay, hunter streaks & leaderboards, Discord webhooks, MySQL, offline bounty placement, importers from other bounty plugins. Free stays free.
