ABOUT VERATOTEMS

VeraTotems is a flexible Paper plugin that allows server owners to create custom totems with their own appearance, activation behavior, effects, sounds, particles, commands, and cooldowns.

Every totem is stored in an individual YAML file inside the plugins/VeraTotems/totems directory. Subfolders are also supported, allowing you to keep large collections clean and organized.

Whether you run a Survival server, SMP, RPG server, custom event, or an entirely original game mode, VeraTotems gives you the tools to create revival items that fit your server.

ACTIVATION MODES

Choose the activation system that best matches each custom totem.

• AUTO — VeraTotems automatically determines the appropriate activation behavior.

• VANILLA — Uses Minecraft's standard Totem of Undying activation behavior.

• FATAL_DAMAGE — Activates when the player receives damage that would otherwise be fatal.

Different totems can use different activation modes, allowing you to create anything from traditional revival items to entirely custom survival mechanics.

COMMANDS

• /veratotems help — Displays the available commands.

• /veratotems list — Lists all currently loaded custom totems.

• /veratotems info {totem} — Displays information about a specific totem.

• /veratotems give {player} {totem} [amount] — Gives a custom totem to a player.

• /veratotems import {id} — Converts the item held in your main hand into a configurable VeraTotems totem and loads it automatically.

• /veratotems reload — Reloads the configuration and all custom totems.

Nexo and MythicMobs are optional integrations. VeraTotems can also be used entirely with vanilla Minecraft items.

INSTALLATION

1. Download VeraTotems.
   
   
2. Place the JAR inside your server's plugins directory.
   
   
3. Start or restart the server.
   
   
4. Open the plugins/VeraTotems/totems directory.
   
   
5. Create or edit your custom totem files.
   
   
6. Use /veratotems reload to apply your changes.
