Copper Golem Farmers

When you get a Copper Golem Statur (of any level of oxidisation), combine it with a hoe in your crafting grid to produce a farmer version. Place it anywhere to spawn the mob.

The farmer golem will pick a chest, and then look out in a radius (25 blocks by defautl, but all of this is configurable) from that chest for any crops it can harvest. It supports pretty much all single-block harvestable items (stuff on tilled soil, cocoa beans, melons, pumpkins, nether warts, etc.) but doesn't harvest multi-block plants like cactus or reeds.

It will then return to that chest it was looking from, and put the crops in there. It will first prioritise replanting, and will then also plant any extra seeds in adjacent tilled soil. (it will craft seeds from the crop if it has to to replant)
