CuteMobs

Cute Mob lets you spawn a named companion, keep it friendly, tame it so it follows you into fights, then send it to mine and hunt. Cute mobs never despawn and are saved to disk so they stay in your world after a restart.
Features

• Create any living mob (wolf, cat, zombie, iron golem, and more), give it a name, and keep it friendly — even hostiles will not attack you
• Tame it so it follows you and fights whatever you look at or hit
• Work mode mines nearby blocks (ores first) and kills other mobs, then puts the loot in your inventory
• Persistent — tagged on the entity and stored in plugins/CuteMob/mobs.yml
• Clickable create wizard, tab completion, and aliases /cm and /cutemobs

Setup

1. Run a Spigot 26.2 server on Java 25
2. Download release.jar from this resource (or the GitHub release)
3. Drop the jar into your server plugins folder
4. Start or restart the server
5. Confirm the console shows Cute Mob is ready for Minecraft 26.2

No extra plugins or config edits are required. After the first run you will see:
Cute mobs are restored from mobs.yml when the server or chunk loads. You can back that file up with your world.
How to use
1. Create a companion

• Run /cutemob create
• Click a type (Wolf, Cat, Zombie, …) or type the type in chat
• Type a name in chat (1–32 characters)

Or do it in one command:
The mob spawns next to you, shows its name, wanders nearby, and will not attack you or other players.
2. Tame it
Look at your cute mob (or stand near it) and run:
Or name it: /cutemob tame Pumpkin
A tamed mob follows you (and teleports if you get far). It attacks the mob you are looking at or the one you last hit. It will never attack you, other players, or other cute mobs.
3. Send it to work
or /cutemob work Pumpkin
In work mode the mob:

• Hunts nearby mobs first and delivers drops and XP to you
• Otherwise mines nearby stone, ores, and dirt (skips bedrock, chests, spawners, and similar)

4. Manage your mobs

• /cutemob list — see every cute mob you own and its mode
• /cutemob dismiss — remove the one you are looking at / standing near
• /cutemob help — show commands in-game

If you skip the name, the plugin uses the cute mob you are looking at, or the nearest one you own.

Aliases: /cm, /cutemobs
Permissions

• cutemob.use — use all Cute Mob commands (default: everyone)
• cutemob.admin — reserved for operators

Notes

• Bosses (wither, ender_dragon, warden) and player cannot be created
• Cute creepers will not explode
• If a cute mob dies, it comes back after a few seconds near you
• Requires Minecraft / Spigot 26.2 and Java 25
