Far Lands for Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Bring the legendary Far Lands back to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
This add-on recreates the enormous distorted terrain walls, cliffs, gaps, and chaotic landscapes inspired by the classic Far Lands from older versions of Minecraft.
Important: How This Add-on Works
The original Far Lands were caused by a terrain-generation bug in older versions of Minecraft. Bedrock Edition no longer contains that original generation behavior, and this add-on does not restore the old terrain generator itself.
Instead, the Far Lands in this add-on are a script-based recreation designed to imitate the appearance, scale, and overall feeling of the original Far Lands as closely as possible within the limitations of modern Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
This is important to understand before installing the add-on: these are not the original bug-generated Far Lands, but a custom recreation based on them.
Customizable Distance
The add-on includes configurable settings that allow you to choose how far away from the world origin the Far Lands should begin.
This means you can decide whether you want:
-
Far Lands relatively close to the spawn area for easier exploration;
-
Far Lands much farther away for a more traditional long-distance journey;
-
or another available distance depending on how you want to play.

Dynamic Generation
The Far Lands are not generated across the entire world immediately when the world is created.
Instead, the add-on detects when a player approaches the configured Far Lands distance and then begins generating the Far Lands terrain around that area.
This allows the add-on to create the effect without attempting to generate enormous amounts of terrain in advance.
As the player continues travelling through the Far Lands, additional terrain is generated around them.

What to Expect
The goal of this project is to recreate the experience of reaching a strange, enormous and increasingly broken edge of the Minecraft world while still allowing it to work in modern Bedrock Edition.
Because the terrain is generated through scripts rather than the original historical terrain-generation bug, some details may differ from the classic Far Lands. The project focuses on reproducing their recognizable appearance and atmosphere while remaining playable in current versions of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
If you find a generation issue or an area that does not behave as expected, feel free to report it so the add-on can continue to be improved.
