MMOGemWorkbench
Inspect socketed gems. Choose the one to recover.

Open the workbench for your held MMOItems equipment, inspect each gem's recorded contribution and select one by its history UUID. Recovery consumes a real configured MMOItems extractor and returns one gem through native recovery.

Setup

1. Install compatible MMOItems and MythicLib. Extract this download, install its JAR and restart.
2. Read config.yml and demo-mmoitems-consumable.yml in plugins/MMOGemWorkbench. Back up your native consumable.yml, check ID conflicts, then merge the example extractor block.
3. Reload MMOItems and obtain the extractor with the usual native give command.
4. Hold socketed equipment and run /migem. Choose a gem, inspect the change, then confirm.

The equipment stays in its original player slot. Menu icons are read-only. Do not put your equipment into the menu.

Commands and permissions
Permission migem.use is available to everyone. Permissions migem.unsocket and migem.admin are operator-only by default. Grant recovery permission deliberately for your server's economy. Config supports INSPECT_ONLY; default NATIVE_RECOVERY still requires permission and a valid extractor.

Extractor rules
The actual native consumable must support one RANDOM_UNSOCKET, use at most one item per operation and satisfy the configured type/ID and native use conditions. An empty return slot is required. Consuming the last extractor in its slot can provide that space. Recovered gems are not dropped on the ground.

Old gem data has limits
MMOItems can store applied gem values without the entire original gem ItemStack. This addon recovers what the installed native version can reconstruct. Unstored fields may come from the current gem template. It does not invent timestamps or promise complete original data for legacy gems.

Confirm before generating a return
The returned gem is generated only after final confirmation. Browsing never rolls a fresh returned gem. Native unsocket and final item-build hooks run, and inventory is rechecked after callbacks. Unsupported equipment data causes a refusal before consumption.

The addon checks complete equipment reconstruction, allowing only proven-equivalent native gem ordering. Separate item snapshots protect the original from mutable NBT operations. Externally changed or custom-component items may be refused when preservation cannot be verified.

Requirements and validation
MMOItems and MythicLib are required and not bundled. No client mod, resource pack or packet dependency. Build target: Spigot API 1.20.4 / Java 17 bytecode.

Validated with Java 21, Paper 1.21.4 and 1.21.8, MMOItems 6.10.1-SNAPSHOT and MythicLib 1.7.1-SNAPSHOT. 31 unit tests passed. Each server passed 13 native-data checks (including 20 fresh two-gem cases) and 14 player/event checks.

The checks covered correct selected UUID and contribution, unchanged source NBT, PDC preservation, full inventory without consumption, native cancellation, stat/raw-NBT event mutation refusal and duplicate confirmation charging once. An additional real 1.21.8 client verified the UI flow and received inventory components.

The ZIP contains the JAR, full English/Chinese README and configuration references. Other dependency builds and custom integrations need their own validation.
