Create: Powerplantgrid

An addon to create: power grid that brings realistic insulators, breakers, wires, and so much more!

WARNING: There is no AC implemented in the mod yet. Once there will be all transformers will be made AC-only as they realistically should be, so they will no longer work on DC.

Current features:

• Realistic insulators and their voltage ratings
• Realistic wire gauges and their current ratings
• Realistic breakers
• Multiple insulators placeable in one block
• High-voltage insulators can now be hung on wires
• Wire clamps also attaching to hanging wires, connecting multiple hanging wires together.
• (Visually) realistic transformers.

WIP Features (to be released soon):

• Single- and three-phase AC, syncing etc.
• HV Breakers (>100kV); HV Transformers
• Uninsulated wires (or insulated exceeding voltage limit) will shock the player and arc to other wires with enough voltage difference.
• OLTC for transformers

Known issues:

• No recipes, not usable in survival
• No breakers or transformers above 100kV (this mod is trying to make them as realistic as possible, HV breakers and transformers are more complicated and not implemented yet)
• Lots of glitches with multiple insulators in a single block, breaker hitboxes, insulators-on-wires placements etc.
• Transformers blowing up can leave lighting issues in the crater they create.

Planned features:

• Actual recipes and survival-friendliness
• Procedural power line poles and supports
• Procedural insulators
