Create Vault Fix

A lightweight client-side compatibility patch that prevents crashes when using Create Item Vault together with Relics or Artifacts mods.

The Problem

When you have items from Relics or Artifacts mods equipped in your additional inventory slots and try to open a Create Item Vault, the game crashes with:

java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 36 out of bounds for length 36
at net.minecraft.world.inventory.AbstractContainerMenu.getSlot()

This happens because of a slot synchronization issue between the server and client when Curios-based additional inventory slots interact with Create's custom container menu.

The Solution

This mod intercepts invalid container slot update packets on the client side before they can cause an IndexOutOfBoundsException. It safely cancels processing of packets that reference non-existent slot indices in the current menu.

Known Limitations

In rare cases, you might experience a brief visual desync in the vault interface (a slot might not update visually for a moment). This resolves instantly with any inventory interaction and is a minor visual trade-off to prevent a complete game crash.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge 21.1.192+
• Create (any 1.21.1 version)
• Relics OR Artifacts (optional, but this is what causes the crash)

Installation

1. Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1
2. Place createvaultfix-1.0.0.jar in your mods folder
3. Launch the game

No server-side installation needed!
