A black stick-thin figure stands under a dark hat.
The pale face is wrong — sunken eye, stretched jaw, no calm left in it.
Long arms end in thin claws that hang too far down.
A short sound can mark it out in the open world.
Sometimes it only waits at the foot of your bed.
If something blocks that space, it stays away until it’s clear.
Horror built around that broken face and that empty black body.
