LightBlockCrafting

Craftable, always-visible light blocks in 15 brightness levels — no resource pack, no client mod, 100% vanilla- and survival-friendly.

The problem

Vanilla light blocks (minecraft:light) are invisible and can't be broken unless you're holding a light block yourself — a client-side restriction no server can normally get around, and there's no survival way to craft one in the first place.

What this plugin adds

• Craftable in 15 levels right at a normal crafting table — no commands, no creative mode.
• Always visible & breakable — even without a light block in hand. A small floating number shows the block's level at a glance.
• No resource pack, no client mod required — built entirely on vanilla Bukkit/Paper mechanics (Display & Interaction entities), so it works out of the box for every player.

Recipes

Every level has its own fixed recipe, always based on 1x glass. There's no way to adjust a crafted block's level afterwards — what you craft is what you get.

Level 0 is deliberately not craftable. Every recipe fits in a normal 3x3 crafting grid and is automatically unlocked in the recipe book — no need to discover it by chance.

Admin command

/lightblock give <level 0-15> [player]

Permission: lightblockcrafting.admin (default: operators). Useful for testing or builds.

Supported versions

A single build works unmodified on any Paper-based server (Paper, Purpur, Pufferfish, …) from 1.19.4 to 26.2 — it only relies on Bukkit/Paper APIs that have been stable since 1.19.4 (Display & Interaction entities). Plain Spigot/Bukkit is not supported, since the plugin uses Paper's Adventure-based item component API.
