Open Quests Community Pack

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

Mod loader

Minecraft version

⬇ Download for 26.1.2 · Fabric⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.1 · Fabric⬇ Download for 1.20.1 · Fabric⬇ Download for 26.1.2 · NeoForge⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.1 · NeoForge⬇ Download for 1.20.1 · Forge
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Open Quests Community Pack

This is an addon for FTB Quests whose purpose is to provide complete questlines for as many Minecraft mods as possible. This way, if you are a player and you install it (alongside FTB Quests), you get ready quests in your game guiding you through different mods' progression, and if you're a modpack developer, you can use this mod's quests to skip on writing questlines for mods your pack isn't significantly changing.

Currently supported mods

I'm just one person, so it's gonna take a while to add everything; suggestions are accepted, but no ETAs are guaranteed. You can add a questline to the pack yourself, though - @see Contribution Guidelines! For now, I'm focusing on large mods with lots of content and clear progression lines (and addons of such mods), as these beniefit the most from having a dedicated quest chapter.

Contribution Guidelines

This is a community pack, which means contributions are welcome and encouraged! Whether you're a mod author or just a player experienced with a mod, you can write a questline for said mod and PR it to this repo! Though please keep in mind the following guidelines:

I did my best to make the underlying Open Quests API easy to use even for Java beginners, I hope I did a good job :D look at my code for examples!

For modpack creators

As said above, you are absolutely allowed to include this mod in your pack and edit its quests however you like. The mod has a blacklist feature that can force it to ignore specific installed mods: the intended use for that is for you to copy the mod's output, edit it however, and blacklist the mod so that there are no changes. One important rule, however, is that if you use any quests from this mod in your modpack, the mod itself should be included in it as well - as attribution.

Quick facts

Install steps are the general flow for this file type — How to install Minecraft Java mods & modpacks walks through it step by step.
