About This Addon

EuForia Bedrock PlayerTrade adds safe trading to survival multiplayer and realms. One player opens /trade, picks items and a partner, items lock into escrow, the partner adds their side, both lock, and the swap executes atomically. If anything interrupts the trade — cancel, reject, timeout, logout, full inventory, restart — every item is refunded to inventory or parked in a personal Inbox for later claim. Nothing silently disappears.

The UI uses native server forms (ActionFormData, ModalFormData, MessageFormData) with vanilla-derived trade icons, so it blends into the vanilla interface on every platform.

What the System Preserves

Every escrowed slot snapshots and restores:

• Custom anvil name (nameTag)
• Lore + raw lore (up to 20 lines)
• Enchantments with exact levels (slot list recorded info-only)
• Durability damage + unbreakable flag (max durability recorded info-only)
• Dyeable armor color
• Written book pages (raw preferred), title, author, signed state
• Tags, canDestroy/canPlaceOn lists, item dynamic properties, keepOnDeath, lockMode
• Potion effect/delivery, cooldown, repairable recorded as informational snapshots (not re-applied — engine-owned data)
• Custom component ids are fingerprinted; live swaps stay exact, restart fallback restores everything except live custom state (shown as a warning in the trade view)

Usage

Commands

Menu Navigation

1. /trade → Main menu: New Trade / Browse Trades / My Trades / Inbox Claim / Help
2. New Trade → pick an online partner, up to 5 items per step, optional note → items lock into escrow
3. My Trades → open a trade → Add My Items → Lock Ready (both sides) → Confirm Swap
4. Cancel / Reject → instant refund to inventory, offline leftovers go to Inbox
5. Inbox Claim → reclaim refunds and offline swaps before TTL expiry; partial claims re-save the rest

Trades auto-expire with refund. Both sides must offer at least 1 item and both must lock before confirm.

How to Install

1. Download the Behavior Pack .mcpack and the Resource Pack .mcpack.
2. Open each file — Minecraft Bedrock imports them automatically.
3. Open or create a world → World Settings → Add-Ons → activate EuForia Bedrock PlayerTrade [BP].
4. The Resource Pack self-activates through the manifest dependency.
5. Load the world. Type /trade — no cheats, no setup, works for every player.

To remove, deactivate the Behavior Pack from the Add-Ons menu. Stored trades live in world dynamic properties and vanish with the pack data.

Known Limitations

Custom runtime components: Items from other addons with live custom-component state swap exactly when both players are online (clone vault). After a restart the JSON fallback restores everything except live custom state — the trade view shows a warning for affected items.

Swap atomicity: If both inventories are completely full at confirm, the trade aborts back to DRAFT (locks reset, escrow held) instead of fake-completing — free space and confirm again.

Privacy: Browse only shows partner-less drafts. Trades with two parties are visible only to their participants.

Form-based picking: Bedrock server forms have no chest grid, so items are picked from dropdown lists (5 per step, 9 max per side) rather than drag-and-drop.

Name lookup: Player search is xuid-first with name fallback, so renames are safe; duplicated names resolve to the first online match.
