🗣️ Villagers Now Speak!
Tired of quiet villages? With Villager Phrases, your villagers will finally have a voice! When a player gets within 15 blocks of a villager, there is a chance they will speak in the chat, saying a unique phrase related to their specific job.
🛠️ Profession-Specific Dialogue
The addon recognizes all 14 vanilla professions (Farmer, Librarian, Armorer, Cleric, etc.) as well as Unskilled villagers and Nitwits!
- A Farmer might complain about the weather or brag about their crops.
- A Cartographer will talk about their maps and explorations.
- A Weaponsmith will offer to sharpen your sword.
In total, the addon features over 600 unique, hand-written phrases for a truly immersive RPG experience.
🌍 Fully Localized (29 Languages!)
No matter where you are from, your villagers will speak your language. Every single phrase has been natively translated into 29 languages (including Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, and many more). The chat automatically adapts to the language setting of each player in the world!
⚡ Highly Optimized & Anti-Spam
- Smart Cooldowns: Each villager has an internal 30-second cooldown after speaking to ensure your chat never gets spammed, even in crowded trading halls.
- Organic Timing: Villagers won't speak at the exact same time. The script uses randomized ticks to make conversations feel staggered and natural.
- Performance Friendly: Runs a highly optimized proximity check that won't lag your game or server.
🤝 "Villagers Name" Compatibility
This addon is 100% compatible with name-tagging addons like *Villagers Name*.
- If a villager doesn't have a name, the chat will display their profession: `<Farmer> These crops need more sunlight.`
- If the villager has a unique name (e.g., "Bob"), the addon detects it and uses their real name instead: `<Bob> These crops need more sunlight.`
