Dark Era

Dark Era is a large-scale adventure and survival modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 Fabric, set in an unstable fantasy world where safety never lasts forever.

Meteor strikes, violent lightning storms, earthquakes, and other disasters can suddenly disrupt your journey. Build carefully, prepare escape routes, and learn how to survive when the world itself becomes your enemy.

Somewhere beyond the ruins and forgotten structures, an old legend continues to spread: the legend of Herobrine.

Choose Your Element

At the beginning of your journey, you will choose an element.

Every element provides unique strengths, abilities, and weaknesses. There is no universally perfect choice, so consider your preferred playstyle before making your decision.

Explore a Dangerous Fantasy World

Dark Era focuses on exploration and discovery, featuring:

• New structures, ruins, settlements, and dungeons
• Additional dimensions and dangerous locations
• Fantasy creatures, monsters, bosses, and wildlife
• Expanded oceans and underwater exploration
• New weapons, equipment, loot, and progression systems
• Atmospheric weather, ambient sounds, and environmental effects
• Recurring natural and supernatural disasters

Enhanced Movement

Survival is not limited to ordinary Minecraft movement. Depending on your abilities and progression, you can use mechanics such as:

• Sliding
• Wall climbing
• Double jumping
• Additional movement abilities

Use them to explore difficult terrain, escape dangerous creatures, and survive unexpected disasters.

Performance

Dark Era is a very large modpack. Its default configuration prioritizes playability and is intended to work on a wider range of computers, but low-end systems may still experience performance limitations.

Shaders are disabled by default. Players with stronger hardware may enable the included or recommended cinematic shader profile at their own discretion.

Suggested allocation:

• Java 17
• 6 GB RAM minimum
• 8 GB RAM recommended Do not allocate all available system memory to Minecraft

Notice

This project is currently in first verion.

During the first verion period:

• Bugs and balancing problems may occur
• Mods, recipes, structures, and progression may change
• Major world-generation updates may require a new world
• Backing up important worlds before updating is strongly recommended

Removing or adding mods manually may cause crashes, broken recipes, missing content, or corrupted worlds and is therefore unsupported.

Installation

Install Dark Era directly through the Modrinth App or another launcher that supports the Modrinth modpack format, such as Prism Launcher.

All included third-party mods, libraries, resource packs, shaders, and other assets belong to their respective creators. Their licenses and project pages are listed through the modpack dependencies and attribution information.
