Getting Started
Follow these simple steps to set up the plugin on your server environment.
1. Requirements: Make sure your Minecraft server runs on Java 17 or higher (compatible with Paper, Spigot, and forks).
2. Installation: Drop the Beaver.jar file into your server's plugins/ directory.
3. Startup: Start or reload your server to generate the default configuration files.
Permissions & Security
Beaver uses a lightweight permission node system to secure server maintenance controls and access.
- beaver.admin (Default: OP) — Allows full administration of the Beaver maintenance system.
- beaver.bypass (Default: OP) — Allows players to join the server even during active maintenance.
Configuration Guide
The plugin automatically generates config.yml and messages.yml upon first startup.
- MOTD Feature: You can use {center} at the beginning of any MOTD line in config.yml to center it perfectly in the server list.
- Discord Webhooks: Fully customizable embeds are supported inside messages.yml for both instant (/maintenance on) and scheduled triggers.
