Every week, one global rule changes for your entire server.
Low gravity this week. Endless day the next. Double harvest after that. Your players come back on Monday to a world that plays differently — and they come back to see what it is.
Folia-native, not "Folia compatible"
Written on the regionised scheduler from the first line, not ported afterwards. Also runs on Paper. If you run Folia, you already know how short that list is.
What you get
Low Gravity — jump twice as high, fall at a third of the speed, no fall damage.
Endless Day — the day cycle freezes at noon, and storms stay away.
Harvest — ores, ripe crops and mob drops yield double.
The rotation is predictable, so you can announce next week's era to your community and give people a reason to be online on Monday.
Built to not break your server
No duplication exploits. Harvest deliberately skips placeable blocks, container contents and spawner mobs. An era runs a full week — any of those would permanently break your economy.
State survives restarts. Embedded SQLite in the plugin folder. No database to install, no MySQL to configure.
No dependencies. Drop the jar in and start.
Timezone-aware, daylight saving included. Set your players' timezone, not your server's.
Multi-world.
Fully translatable
Every player-facing string, including era names and descriptions, lives in config.yml in MiniMessage format. The plugin ships in English; rewrite it in your language without touching the jar.
How it works
Drop the jar in your plugins folder and restart the server. No dependencies, no setup required to start.
The first era begins automatically — no commands needed. Every Monday at 12:00 UTC (configurable), the rotation moves to the next era. A chat message and a boss bar announce the change; both can be turned off in config.yml.
/era — current era and time left.
/era list — the full rotation.
/era rotate — force the change (requires the valdy.eras.rotate permission, op by default).
Requirements
Minecraft 1.21.x · Paper or Folia · Java 21
FAQ
Does it break existing worlds? No. Eras only changes gamerules and world settings. Harvest doubles ripe crops, ore drops and mob drops — placed blocks, container contents and spawner mobs are deliberately skipped, so it can't be used to duplicate items.
Does it work in survival and creative? Yes, both — the changes apply per world, not per game mode.
Does progress survive a restart? Yes. State is saved to an embedded SQLite database inside the plugin folder — no external database to install or configure.
Can I limit it to specific worlds? Yes. List them under worlds: in config.yml; leave it empty to apply to every world.
Does it need any other plugins? No. Eras runs standalone on Paper or Folia.
Can I change the schedule or translate the messages? Yes. Day, time, timezone and every message are editable in config.yml, in MiniMessage format.
