Perhaps Chests Mod adds biome-themed treasure containers, breakable pots, and dangerous mimic monsters to your world. It fills caves, oceans, and distant dimensions with loot that might attack when opened. You can fight disguised monsters for keys or tame friendly chests on legs to carry items on your journeys.

Features:

Spawns themed loot containers across different biomes, caves, and dimensions.
Adds breakable pots in the wilderness that drop supplies when broken.
Disguises aggressive monsters as ordinary storage blocks waiting to ambush players.
Allows players to tame friendly pet mimics that follow their owner and carry items.

Normal and Sandstone chests spawn in common overworld biomes and deserts.
Lush, Deepslate, and Ice chests appear in underground caves and frozen biomes.
Coral chests rest underwater in ocean biomes.
Molten, Gold, and Void chests generate inside hotter or distant dimensions.
