HyperVariables is a flexible data-storage plugin that lets you create your own custom variables —
numbers, strings, or lists — for anything you want to track: coins, kills, ranks, quest progress, achievements, server-wide stats, you name it. Every variable is instantly usable through
PlaceholderAPI, so you can display it in scoreboards, tab lists, chat, GUIs, or any plugin that supports placeholders.
Built on HyperCore, it shares one connection pool with the rest of the Hyper* suite instead of spinning up its own, and syncs instantly across your entire network via Redis.

Variable System
- Three variable types: NUMBER, STRING, LIST
- Two scopes: PLAYER (per-player) and GLOBAL (server-wide)
- Set, add/subtract, get, list-add, list-remove, and clear operations
- Wildcard writes — set/add a value for every player at once
- Custom default values on creation
PlaceholderAPI Integration
- %hypervar_<name>% — get any variable's value
- %hypervar_<name>_int% — number formatted as a whole integer
- %hypervar_<name>_size% — size of a list
- %hypervar_<name>_<index>% — a specific list element
- Smart in-memory caching (instant updates on change, background refresh otherwise) — built for high placeholder-evaluation rates on large servers
Installation
- Requires HyperCore
- Drop HyperCore.jar and HyperVariables.jar into your /plugins folder
- Restart your server — config files generate automatically
- Set your storage details in HyperCore/config.yml (Redis is optional, only needed for cross-server sync)
- Create your first variable: /hv create coins NUMBER PLAYER 0
Cross-Server Support
- Redis-backed pub/sub keeps every server's cache and placeholders in sync the instant a variable changes anywhere on the network
- No restart or reconnect needed — updates propagate live
Scoreboard Integration
- Convert existing scoreboard objectives straight into HyperVariables, importing all current player scores
- Two-way live sync between an objective and its variable
- List/purge tools to manage or fully retire synced objectives
Migration Support
- Built-in importer from SCore, including legacy /hvcore command syntax for a drop-in replacement
- Old automation and scripts calling /hvcore variables ... keep working unchanged
Reliable Storage
- MySQL or SQLite persistence (via HyperCore)
- Async, non-blocking database operations
- Debug modes (NONE / BASIC / ADVANCED) to trace exactly what's changing a variable and from where — including full stack traces for tracking down misbehaving scripts
Admin-Friendly
- Full permission node set for player vs. admin commands
- Tab completion for every command and argument
- Console-friendly — every command works from console for automation
