A shaderpack that simulates RTX-style ray tracing using screen-space ray marching — the same technique used by SEUS PTGI, Complementary Reimagined, and BSL. True hardware ray tracing isn't accessible from Java Edition shaderpacks (they run on OpenGL, not DXR/Vulkan RT), so this marches rays against the depth buffer each frame to build reflections and a one-bounce GI approximation.
Features
- Ray-marched reflections and diffuse global illumination, temporally denoised
- Real sunlight diffuse lighting with ray-traced-style soft shadows
- Near-mirror water reflections
- Two-pass bloom, ACES tonemapping
- 4 quality profiles (Low/Medium/High/Ultra) plus individually adjustable sliders
Requirements: OptiFine or Iris (Sodium+Iris also works)
Install: drop the zip into .minecraft/shaderpacks/, select it from Video Settings → Shaders.
- Edition: Minecraft Java
- File type: .zip (resource pack)
- Minecraft versions listed: 1.16.3, 1.17.1, 1.21
- How to install: Download the .zip resource pack — do not unzip it. → Put it in .minecraft/resourcepacks. → Enable it in Options → Resource Packs.
