# StandAlone Nexus
**A hardcore, immersive survival overhaul — realistic injuries, real body temperature, and a body that actually remembers what happens to it.**
Forget generic health bars. StandAlone Nexus turns Minecraft Bedrock into a survival sim where every hit, every fever, every desert crossing has consequences you can *feel* — and manage, if you're prepared.

## 🦴 Fracture System
Your body is split into **7 independent zones**: skull, brain, torso, and both arms and legs. A hard enough hit doesn't just cost you health — it fractures the zone you got hit in.
- **4 severity tiers**: Good → Bad → Very Bad → Medical Treatment. Each step brings real gameplay penalties — slowness, weakness, nausea, blindness — depending on the zone.
- **No free passes.** A fresh fracture never starts mild — it starts at Bad, and a truly brutal hit can send you straight to Very Bad or even Medical Treatment in one shot.
- **Fractures compound.** Keep straining an already-injured limb and it gets worse — even without taking another hit.
- Good and Bad heal naturally over time. Very Bad and Medical Treatment **won't heal on their own** — you'll need real medicine.
## 🩸 Bleeding
Let an injury get bad enough and it starts bleeding — independently of the fracture itself.
- Weakness and blood particles while any zone is actively bleeding.
- **Progressive damage.** Bleeding drains your health tick by tick, faster the more zones are bleeding at once. Left untreated, it *will* kill you.
- Only **Coagulant** stops it — and if more than one zone is bleeding, you choose which one to treat first.
## 🏃 Overexertion
Fractures don't just sit there waiting to heal. Push a hurt body and it pushes back:
- Sustained running, swimming, jumping, or fighting worsens legs, torso, and arms that are already injured.
- Go too long without sleep, or let your hunger crash, and your skull and brain start to suffer too.
## 💊 Treatment & Healing
A full toolkit of medical items, each with a real role:
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Basic Bandage** | 1 healing step, Good/Bad only |
| **Definitive Bandage** | 2 steps, works at *any* severity — treating Medical Treatment costs more materials |
| **Dried Medicinal Herb** | Stack up uses to bring Very Bad down to Bad |
| **Coagulant** | Stops bleeding, one zone at a time |
| **Head Trauma Pills** | Instant skull fix; brain trauma takes several doses |
| **Neuro Stabilizer** | Fully heals brain trauma in one use |
Got more than one injury? Most treatment items open a quick selection menu so **you** decide what gets treated first — no more guessing which limb the game picked for you.
Built on an **extensible treatment framework** — new medicine items can be added through simple configuration, no new code required, so this system keeps growing.
## 🌡️ Full-Body Temperature Simulation
A real thermal simulation, not a hunger-bar reskin:
- 5 thermal states — Very Cold, Cold, Normal, Hot, Very Hot — that rise and fall **gradually**, never instantly.
- Biome, time of day, weather, nearby heat sources (fire, lava, furnaces, campfires), and what you're wearing all matter, constantly.
- **Water behaves like real water.** It cools you in most biomes, but shields you from ambient heat in hot land biomes like deserts — and in Warm Ocean, the water itself is genuinely hot and will warm you up.
- **Armor insulates for real.** Any worn armor reduces temperature swings; metal armor also traps heat against you in hot conditions — dress smart or pay for it.
- Purpose-built climate gear: heavy **Anorak** and **Parka** sets for serious cold, and light **Desert Headwrap & Robe** for beating the heat without weighing you down.
## 🧬 Nexus Body Implant
A wearable diagnostic HUD, always one click away — check your body temperature, environment, and the severity and bleeding status of every injured zone in real time.
## 📖 In-Game Documentation
Two ways to learn the systems without leaving the game:
- **Nexuspedia** — a discovery-driven encyclopedia covering the temperature and survival systems in depth.
- **Survival Guide Book** — a straight-to-the-point reference covering fractures, bleeding, overexertion, healing, and temperature, illustrated with in-game diagrams.
## 🎒 Starter Kit
Spawn with the essentials to survive your first real injury — bandages, medicinal herb, pills, and coagulant. It won't last forever, so start stockpiling early.

## Why StandAlone Nexus?
Most "realistic survival" addons stop at a hunger bar and a thirst meter. StandAlone Nexus goes further: your body has *zones*, injuries have *severity*, severity has *consequences*, and every consequence has a *cure* — if you're carrying the right supplies and paying attention to your environment.
It's punishing when you're careless, and completely manageable when you're prepared. That's the point.
