🎲 Chaos Core
Anything can happen. Every 15–40 seconds.
Chaos Core injects pure, unscripted randomness into your Minecraft Bedrock world. No warning about what is coming — only a countdown ticking down to the next surprise. Buffs, curses, monster swarms, lightning, meteor showers, and a gambler's effect that can bless or curse you for minutes at a time.
This is a behavior pack only add-on — no resource pack, no custom textures, no compatibility conflicts with your other packs.
⚡ How It Works
- A hidden timer counts down to the next chaos event, randomized between 15 and 40 seconds.
- Once the timer hits 10 seconds or less, a warning appears on your action bar:
⚠ Next Chaos Event: 7
- When it hits zero, one random event from the pool below fires immediately.
- Rinse and repeat, forever. There is no way to predict which event comes next.
🌀 The Event Pool
| Event | Effect |
|---|---|
| ⚡ Lucky Surge | All players get a strong burst of Speed, Jump Boost, Strength, or Regeneration |
| ☠ Chaos Storm | All players get hit with Slowness, Nausea, Weakness, Blindness, Poison, or Hunger |
| 👾 Hostile Swarm | 3–5 zombies, skeletons, spiders, or husks spawn around a random player |
| ⚡ Sky Strike | Lightning crashes down just a few blocks from a random player |
| 🎲 Block Shuffle | A 3×3 patch of ground beneath a random player transforms into gold, diamond, slime, TNT, and other surprise blocks |
| 🚀 Sky Launch | A random player is suddenly yanked into the sky, then eased back down |
| 🍀 Treasure Drop | A small bundle of valuable items (diamonds, emeralds, golden apples...) appears near a random player |
| ☄ Meteor Shower | Four terrain-safe explosions rain down in sequence around a random player |
| 💥 Startle Blast | A loud, punchy explosion goes off nearby — no block damage, just adrenaline |
| 🍀💀 Weird Luck | (see below — this one's special) |
🎰 Weird Luck — The Gambler's Event
This event plays by its own rules:
- 20% chance it simply fails — you'll just be told "the magic fizzled out." Nothing happens.
- If it succeeds, you get either the Luck or Bad Luck status effect — chosen completely at random — at a random level (I–III), for a random duration between 30 seconds and 3 minutes.
- While it's active, you get your own dedicated countdown on your action bar, separate from the main event timer, so you always know how long your fortune (or misfortune) will last.
Luck and Bad Luck affect loot from chests, fishing, and mob drops — so the timing of this event matters more than you'd think.
👋 New to the World?
The first time you spawn in, Chaos Core greets you in chat with a quick rundown of what to expect — no need to read this page again mid-game.
✅ Compatibility
- Type: Behavior Pack only (no Resource Pack required)
- Minecraft Bedrock: 1.21+
- Requires: Beta APIs experimental toggle enabled in your world settings
- Safe to use alongside almost any other add-on — it only adds vanilla effects, entities, and block changes, no custom items or blocks of its own.
⚠️ A Few Notes
- Explosions from Chaos Core never break blocks or start fires — they're built for adrenaline, not destruction.
- Effects and events are randomized per-player where relevant, so multiplayer worlds feel just as chaotic as singleplayer.
- Recommended for players who want a living, unpredictable world — not recommended if you're mid-build and need a calm, controlled environment (you can always disable the pack temporarily).
