ShopkeeperNexo

The problem

When you change a Nexo item, Shopkeepers can still hold an older copy of that item inside its saved trades. The visible item may look familiar, but its stored data no longer matches the current Nexo definition—and an otherwise valid trade can be rejected.

ShopkeeperNexo fixes that bridge.

It connects Shopkeepers' item-update system to Nexo's official item updater, refreshing saved Nexo items whenever their definitions are loaded or reloaded.

Important: Nexo and Shopkeepers are hard dependencies. ShopkeeperNexo will not load unless both are installed and enabled.

Installation

1. Stop your server.
2. Install Nexo and Shopkeepers, then confirm both load correctly.
3. Place the ShopkeeperNexo JAR in your server's plugins folder.
4. Start the server.
5. Run /sknexo status to confirm the integration is ready.

That is all—there is nothing to configure.

Commands

/shopkeepernexo sync
Queues a complete Shopkeepers item synchronization for the next server tick. When it finishes, you receive a summary showing how many Nexo items were inspected, updated, missing a definition, or failed.

/shopkeepernexo status
Shows the ShopkeeperNexo, Nexo, and Shopkeepers versions; the current sync state; the number of registered Nexo definitions; and the result of the last synchronization.

/sknexo ...
Short alias for both commands.

Permission

shopkeepernexo.admin
Allows access to sync and status. Defaults to server operators.

How it behaves

For each item exposed by Shopkeepers' update API, ShopkeeperNexo:

1. Checks whether the item has a Nexo ID.
2. Leaves vanilla items alone.
3. Verifies that the Nexo definition still exists.
4. Passes recognized items through Nexo's official updater.
5. Replaces the stored item only when its data actually changed.

If a saved item points to a Nexo definition that has been removed, the item is retained unchanged. This avoids unexpectedly destroying configured trades.

Good to know

• A full item update can close active Shopkeepers trading or editor sessions. This is normal behavior of the Shopkeepers update API.
• Shopkeepers' update API does not traverse historical trading records, so those records cannot be updated by this addon.
• ShopkeeperNexo updates stored trade items; it does not add a Nexo item picker to the Shopkeepers editor.

All of my plugins are future proof and they will continue to work for future Minecraft versions for years to come even if I stop updating them!
