⬇ Download on CurseForgeZombie Adaptation is an addon where zombies gradually adapt to the ways you use to kill them.
The addon tracks how mobs are killed and uses accumulated experience to give them corresponding defenses.
Melee Combat
If you frequently kill zombies with swords and other melee attacks, they can gain Damage Resistance. With further experience, their resistance can become stronger.
Fire
Repeatedly using fire and lava makes zombies adapt to fire damage. After adapting, they gain Fire Resistance.
Projectiles and Guns
Arrows, other projectiles and bullets are treated as ranged attacks. After enough ranged kills, zombies can gain Damage Resistance, and with further adaptation they can also gain Absorption.
How Adaptation Works
Each threat type has its own experience counter. The more zombies killed using a specific method, the higher the chance that future zombies will adapt to it.
Adaptation does not happen instantly. A certain amount of experience must be accumulated before adaptation becomes possible. The more experience is gained, the higher the chance of adaptation.
The system works with the main zombie types:
Zombies, husks, drowned, zombie villagers, zombified piglins, zoglins and zombie horses.
The addon tracks three main threat types:
Melee attacks, fire and projectiles.
The more often you use the same way to kill zombies, the more they adapt to it.
