Start with a button. Build something worth coming back to.
Give your players a side game they can open anywhere with /button. A few clicks become a chest. That chest brings coins, relics or dungeon keys. The next upgrade opens another reason to keep playing.
Everything happens in inventory menus. No arena to build, no custom world to maintain and no required resource pack.
Discover the game as you play
New players begin with a button, a chest and a clear next objective. A saved nine-chapter journey gradually reveals upgrades, the Relic Archive, research, combat, automation, challenges and prestige. Chapter goals mix upgrade purchases, relic ranks and dungeon victories. Early chest targets stay modest; later discoveries focus on using the mechanics you have unlocked. No waiting timers or rare drops are required.
The workshop compass shows the next discovery and exact progress. Open /button journey to revisit explanations or continue toward the next goal. New discoveries bring a short message, sounds and particles. Settings remains accessible, and players can mute guidance while continuing to unlock mechanics.
Existing players keep full access. Discoveries survive prestige and restarts; stored relics and currencies are preserved. Server owners can disable guided progression with journey.enabled: false and apply it with /button reload.
Your workshop keeps growing
- Click, earn, upgrade. Improve click power, chest rewards, luck, dungeon damage and more. Buy one level or up to ten at once.
- Make the tenth level count. Every tenth upgrade level grants triple effect progress. Relic rank ten gets the same milestone boost.
- Build your automation. Add idle income, autoclicks, better auto-click rewards and an automatic chest opener. Automation works while players are online, even with the menu closed.
- Collect all 48 relics. Unlock four regions and strengthen every relic through ten ranks. Duplicates become dust for permanent upgrades. Every collection bonus applies automatically. Focus chest drops on an unlocked region to hunt for missing relics.
- Complete a collection, claim a reward. Each region pays coins, dust and keys when you find all 12 relics, then again when every relic reaches rank 10. Claim rewards directly in the Relic Archive.
- Always another goal. Repeatable click, chest and boss goals award dust and dungeon keys.
Your next chest could be Legendary
Every chest can be Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary. Special chests grant 2x, 4x or 8x chest coins, bonus dust, guaranteed keys and a matching minimum relic rarity. Find them through clicks, autoclicks and dungeon victories. The familiar chest button shows your collection of chests and opens the highest rarity first, one at a time or up to ten. Auto Opener follows the same order.
Colored rarity labels, a glow and opening effects celebrate special finds. Default odds are 80% Common, 16% Rare, 3.5% Epic and 0.5% Legendary; server owners can customize them. Luck improves relic rolls, while region unlocks and your selected relic hunt still apply.
Make tomorrow's clicks count
- Three daily challenges. Click, open chests and defeat bosses for dust and keys. Rewards scale with progression. Resets at midnight UTC; no streak penalties.
- One weekly challenge. A longer clicks, chests or boss objective rewards dust and keys. Find it alongside the dailies. Resets Monday at 00:00 UTC; unclaimed rewards expire, with no streak penalties.
- 18 permanent achievements. Claim one-time rewards for clicking, collecting, automation, dungeon milestones, prestige and relic ranks.
- Four leaderboards. Compare lifetime earnings, best floor, collected relics and prestige, including offline players on the same server.
- A guide to your next goal. The workshop compass points you toward rewards, the next region and your next Click Power milestone.
Push one floor further
Spend a key, start the timer and strike. Use your charged attack at the right moment to deal six times your base damage and bypass armor.
A glowing READY button and a private chime tell you when your charged strike is available. Health, time and charge status stay visible in the action bar while the Dungeon is open. Both attack buttons explain the enemy ability. After victory or timeout, see damage dealt, elapsed time, rewards and personal bests; Last Battle also shows your strike counts.
- 1,000 dungeon floors with normal, armored, frenzied and regenerating opponents.
- Eight dungeon milestones. Floors 25, 50, 100, 150, 250, 500, 750 and 1,000 grant one-time coins, dust and keys. The dungeon rewards button shows your next target and lets you claim it. Best-floor progress counts across prestige.
- A champion every ten floors with tougher battles and bigger rewards.
- Farm your last cleared floor when you need materials for the next upgrade.
- Turn progress into permanent income. Your highest cleared floor adds a lasting coin bonus: +0.5% per floor by default.
- Prestige and return stronger. Keep relics, ranks, dust, research, best floor and goals and achievement progress while starting a fresh run.
Progress you can see and hear
Upgrade bursts, discovery sounds and boss-victory effects celebrate the good moments. Nearby players can see milestone particles and hear the celebrations. Configure their range and volume, keep effects private, or turn them off.
Claim All Rewards collects ready daily, weekly, achievement, collection and dungeon milestone rewards in one click. Preview the total in its lore and receive one combined reward summary. Available from the Workshop and reward menus after discovering the Relic Archive; chapter locks still apply and individual claims remain available. Repeatable Goals stay separate.
Useful balances and cooldowns sit directly in item lore. Upgrade and relic lore shows the coins or dust you still need, while finished upgrades are marked MAXED. Purchase messages explain missing currency, undiscovered relics and upgrade limits.
Choose a message for each auto-opened chest, a periodic reward summary, or silence currency messages. Only newly discovered relics announce a name. A matching gradient Buttonbound prefix keeps chat recognizable; customize or disable it in messages.yml.
Choose your look
The optional Brass Workshop pack is included in the plugin JAR: charcoal-and-brass inventory backgrounds, crisp collectible icons, boss portraits and original sounds. Clear pixel headings and restrained borders keep the focus on your next click. Use its standalone delivery or optional ItemsAdder integration. Players who decline keep the standard menus.
Switch between Classic and Custom menus in Player Preferences, check your pack status or retry a download. Chat messages confirm when a pack loads or explain when it fails or is declined. Use /button pack to request the pack and /button theme to switch menu styles.
Drop in the JAR. Open the workshop.
- Use Paper 26.2 with Java 25.
- Place the Buttonbound JAR in your plugins folder and start the server.
- Run /button. Players can begin immediately.
Want the custom look?
The artwork and sounds are already inside the JAR. For standalone delivery, make TCP port 8164 reachable or set theme.pack-url to a directly downloadable hosted ZIP. The plugin cannot open your host's ports automatically. Join and accept the optional download, or request it with /button pack. Existing auto-send preferences are preserved.
For a proxy or SRV setup, set theme.hosting.public-host to the reachable pack-server IP/domain. Prefer ItemsAdder? Select theme.provider: itemsadder, install the exported add-on and rebuild its merged pack. Both exported ZIPs are in plugins/Buttonbound/resourcepacks/.

Optional Spigot update checks run in the background at startup and when an admin joins, with results cached for one hour. The console and players with buttonbound.admin.update receive a download link when a newer release is available. Disable checks with updates.enabled: false. Updates are never installed automatically.
Startup messages show the running version and loaded profile count; shutdown messages report saving and cleanup. Customize update notices and lifecycle messages in messages.yml.
Optional PlaceholderAPI
Show coins, relics and progression in compatible scoreboards or displays. No separate expansion download is needed, and the game works without PlaceholderAPI.

Before you play
Automation requires players to be online. Dungeon timers continue when the menu is closed; disconnecting forfeits the attempt. Prestige resets coins, run upgrades, unopened chests, keys and the current floor. Game currency stays inside Buttonbound.
Compatibility
Designed for Paper 26.2 and Java 25. Spigot server software, Folia, older Minecraft versions and Bedrock clients are not verified targets.
