RealEssentials is a complete moderation and essentials suite for Paper and Purpur servers, built for large communities and multi server networks. Everything runs on a MySQL database with a HikariCP connection pool and uses Redis for messaging across your whole network, so bans, staff chat, broadcasts and inventory backups stay in sync no matter which server a player is on.
Requirements
Ban players with predefined reason types that carry their own duration, from a few hours to permanent. Temporary bans expire on their own, so you never have to clean them up by hand. Banned players see a fully styled ban screen on login with the reason, the expiry date and your own info text, all configurable in the language file.
Ban GUI
Open a clean paginated overview of every active ban with /bans. Each entry shows the player head, the reason, the expiry and who issued the ban. Staff with the right permission can revoke a ban with a single right click, and the list refreshes instantly.
Reason types
Define reusable ban reasons once and use them everywhere. Add or update a type with a reason text and a duration through /realessentials ban addReason, and list all types at any time. This keeps your punishments consistent across the whole team.
Unban
Revoke a ban with /unban <player>, complete with tab completion of currently banned names. A config option decides whether permanent bans may be lifted in game or only through the database, so you stay in control of your most serious punishments.
Vanish
Go fully invisible to normal players with /vanish. Vanished staff pull no mob aggro at all, including Wardens, sculk sensors, pressure plates and tripwires, so you can watch quietly without disturbing the world. Options include flight, creative mode, damage immunity and toggleable particles.
Admin mode (Aduty)
Turn on /aduty to see live floating labels above nearby players showing their UUID, IP, gamemode, ping, health and food. The labels are sent only to you and follow players in real time, which makes catching cheaters much easier. Your whole staff team is notified when someone enters or leaves admin mode.
Staff chat
Toggle a private team channel with /staffchat (or /sc). Send a quick message with the normal prefix, or use the important prefix to also ping every staff member. Messages travel across your entire network through Redis, so the whole team stays connected regardless of server.
Freeze
Lock a suspicious player in place with /freeze <player>. They cannot move and receive a clear action bar notice, giving you time to investigate or ask questions.
Private messages
Let players talk privately with /msg <player> <message>, including a short cooldown to prevent spam.
Broadcast
Send an announcement to everyone with /broadcast (aliases /bc and /alert). Broadcasts are delivered across the whole network with a notification sound.
Death inventory backup and restore
Whenever a player dies, their inventory is saved to Redis with a death id and a time to live. Staff can restore any of those inventories later with /inventory restore <player> <deathId>, which is perfect for handling grief reports and rollback requests.
Privacy and IP consent
IP storage is fully optional and off by default. When you enable it, players are asked for consent through an in game dialog on join. If they accept, their IP is stored and they are never asked again. If they decline, they are disconnected and asked again next time, so you only ever store data with clear agreement. This is meant to help you meet your obligations under the GDPR and DSGVO, including a legal basis and an entry in your privacy policy.
Fully customizable language
Every message, title and button lives in a single language file with full HEX color support and classic format codes, so you can match RealEssentials to your server style without touching the code.
