✧ Setup & Installation Guide ✧
Choose the configuration that matches your server network architecture:
Option 1: Geyser Standalone Proxy
Use this if you run Geyser as an independent standalone proxy process (Geyser-Standalone.jar).
- Download HideAndSeekGeyserBridge-Extension.jar.
- Place the jar into your Geyser Standalone directory under:
Code (Text):test-geyser-standalone/extensions/HideAndSeekGeyserBridge.jar - Make sure HideAndSeek (v1.80.0+) is installed in your backend Paper server's plugins/ folder.
- Restart Geyser Standalone.
- Look for the confirmation log in your Geyser console:
Code (Text):[GeyserBridge-Extension] Initialized and listening for Bedrock sessions!
Option 2: BungeeCord / Waterfall / Velocity Proxy
Use this if players connect through a BungeeCord or Waterfall proxy where Geyser is installed as a proxy plugin.
- Download HideAndSeekGeyserBridge-Bungee.jar.
- Place the jar into your BungeeCord/Waterfall plugins/ folder alongside Geyser-Bungee.jar:
Code (Text):proxy/plugins/HideAndSeekGeyserBridge.jar - Make sure HideAndSeek (v1.80.0+) is installed in your backend Paper server's plugins/ folder.
- Restart your Bungee proxy.
- Look for the confirmation log in your Bungee console:
Code (Text):[GeyserBridge] Enabled! Listening on channel: mipcraft:geyserscale
Option 3: Single Paper Server (No Proxy / Geyser-Spigot)
Use this if you run a single Paper server with Geyser-Spigot installed directly in your plugins folder.
- Install Geyser-Spigot.jar and Floodgate-Spigot.jar in your server's plugins/ folder.
- Install HideAndSeek (v1.80.0+) in your plugins/ folder.
- No bridge jar is needed! HideAndSeek automatically detects local Geyser and handles Bedrock scaling and packet injection directly in-memory.
Option 4: Modern Minecraft 1.20.5+ / 1.21+ / Paper 26.3
On modern Minecraft versions that support the vanilla Java Generic Scale Attribute:
- HideAndSeek automatically utilizes Minecraft's native GENERIC_SCALE attribute.
- Geyser natively translates vanilla Java entity scale directly to Bedrock.
- All disguises work out-of-the-box seamlessly across all proxy and standalone setups.
