Tinkers' Gadgets Mod (1.12.2) – Forge Custom Ranged Weapons in Your Workshop

Tinkers’ Gadgets Mod extends Tinkers’ Construct 2 with custom ranged weapons, modular parts, and unique combat traits. This addon introduces versatile gear like boomerangs, throwing knives, chain blades, and heat rays that fit into your modular workshop. It gives you more tactical choices during combat with craftable items built from different parts.

Features:

• Modular Ranged Gear: Adds craftable boomerangs, throwing knives, heat ray guns, and chain blades.
• Boomerangs can be crafted early without a Tool Forge and return directly to your inventory after hitting a target.
• Throwing knives allow rapid single tosses or a fan of three blades when sneaking.
• Heat Ray Guns consume burnable fuel to unleash powerful energy blasts that depend on your tank and emitter materials.
• Chain Blades bounce across groups of up to six enemies and gain Charge to power up wider melee sweeps.
• Unique projectile traits grant special effects like item collection, piercing, block shattering, and projectile deflection.
• New clasp and grip parts let you customize traits using glass, slime, shulker shells, prismarine, and redstone.

Weapon Types:

• Boomerang: crafted with two knife blades and a clasp, throws on release and returns automatically.
• Throwing Knife: crafted with a knife blade, arrow shaft, and grip, recoverable from the ground after throwing.
• Heat Ray Gun: crafted with a tough tool rod, large plate, fuel tank, and heat ray emitter, fires continuous heat blasts.
• Chain Blade: crafted with a tool rod, arrow head, and chain, builds Charge with each bounce to double melee sweep power.

How to Use:

1. Assemble your weapon in the Part Builder and Tool Station using your chosen materials.
2. Hold Right-Click to charge your ranged attack, then release to fire or throw.
3. Hold Sneak + Right-Click with a Throwing Knife to launch a spread of three knives at once.
4. Hold Sneak + Right-Click with a Chain Blade to unleash a sweeping melee strike.
5. Load burnable items into your inventory to power the Heat Ray Gun when firing.
