Balanced Combat
Balanced Combat is a vanilla-friendly combat rebalance for Minecraft 1.16.5–1.21.4. It makes targeted changes to existing weapons, shields, and ranged combat while keeping the vanilla combat system intact.
⚔️ Weapons
- Swords — attack cooldown set to 0.65 seconds.
- Axes — attack cooldown set to 1.05 seconds.
- Tridents — attack cooldown set to 0.95 seconds.
- Crossbows — projectile speed increased to 3.3075 blocks/tick.
🛡️ Shields
- Shield raise time increased from 0.25 seconds to 0.30 seconds.
- Shields block attacks only within a 75° frontal angle.
- Critical axe hits against shields reduce the blocked damage to 10% of the normal blocked amount.
🔨 Mace — Minecraft 1.21.1 & 1.21.4
- Attack cooldown set to 0.80 seconds.
- Smash attack damage reduced to 80% of vanilla damage.
- Smash bounce strength adjusted to 0.245.
