Predicament
In Minecraft 26.3, mojang added a very minor change that completely broke the most reliable method datapack creators had when making custom entities. Now, instead of using wandering traders, some users have opted to change the base entities of their custom mobs.
Crop & Kettle transitioned to nitwit villagers, which opens up a few possibilities for entity behavior.
The add-on
This add-on cracks open Fizz and Doughboy's code to let them behave like villagers, speak with them, gossip and sleep in beds!
Fizz will even close their eyes when sleeping. How cute!
A config menu can be accessed through the command /function cnk.unlobotomize:config. It will allow the player to toggle on and off their memories and gossiping behavior.
Install requirements
- Crop & Kettle 1.3.14 or upwards is required.
- The add-on must be loaded AFTER C&K. This is due to the add-on needing to overwrite several existing files. This can be enforced by disabling end enabling the add-on using the
/datapackcommand. You'll know you've succeeded if in creative, the "loaded!" message for CnK appears in chat before the addon's.
