HeavenChat is a lightweight and highly configurable chat management plugin for Bukkit, Spigot and Paper servers.

It provides local, global, staff, private and custom chat channels, with chat focus, permissions, cooldowns, anti-spam protection, hover messages and extensive formatting options.

✦ Chat Focus

HeavenChat allows each player to select a focused chat channel.

The default focus is Local. Once a channel is selected, normal messages are automatically sent through that channel.

Focus is available through commands such as:

/chat local
/chat global
/chat staff
/chat <channel>
/local
/l
/global
/g
/staffchat
/sc

Custom chat channels and their aliases automatically become available as focusable channels.

Chat focus is stored only during the player's session and does not require a database.

✦ Local Chat

Local chat allows players to communicate within a configurable distance.

By default, the radius is 50 blocks.

♡ Same-world communication only

♡ Distance-based detection
♡ Sender always receives their own message

✦ Global Chat

Global chat allows players to communicate with everyone currently online.

There are no distance or world restrictions.

Both /g message and /global message can be used to send direct global messages.

✦ Staff Chat

HeavenChat includes a private Staff Chat for server teams.

Commands:

/staffchat
/sc
/staff

Staff Chat can be focused and used with normal messages, or messages can be sent directly through the command.

Permission:

heavenchat.staff

✦ Custom Channels

Create custom chat channels directly through config.yml.

Each channel can have its own:

• Main command
• Multiple aliases
• Permission
• Format
• Cooldown
• Permission-based recipients
• World-based recipients
• Global recipients
• Toggle/focus behavior

Every configured channel automatically becomes available as a focusable chat.

✦ Private Messaging

HeavenChat includes a complete private messaging system.

Supported commands:

/reply

Players can send direct messages, reply to their last conversation and focus their private chat.

Private messages can also be monitored by authorized Chat Spy users.

Invalid messages, including attempts to message yourself, are not shown to Spy users.

HeavenChat includes configurable protection against chat spam.

The system can detect:

HeavenChat supports traditional Minecraft colors and modern HEX colors.
