Chloe
Find out why console players can't join your Geyser server, and fix it.
Find out why console players can't join your Geyser server, and fix it.
Chloe is free, and everything in the first list works on its own. It's also the plugin for Crossplay, a paid service. The Crossplay section at the bottom needs a subscription.
Works on its own
- /chloe check lists what's stopping console players joining: Geyser's auth-type, the Bedrock port, duplicate Geyser or Floodgate copies, compression, login cooldowns, anti-xray kicking Bedrock players, a Geyser built for a different Minecraft version, and more.
- /chloe fix fixes what it safely can and backs up every file it changes.
- /chloe installer on installs Geyser and Floodgate from GeyserMC's official builds and keeps them updated. Downloads are checksum-checked and updates apply on restart. Off until you turn it on.
- /chloe blindspots counts things your plugins show Java players that console players can't see.
- /cmenu gives console players a tap menu for land claims and block history (GriefPrevention, CoreProtect).
Requirements
- Paper or Spigot, Java 17 or newer. Folia is supported.
- Geyser and Floodgate (Chloe can install them).
- Automatic install needs Minecraft 1.20.5+ on Java 21.
Data
Chloe only talks to crossplay.ing after you add a Crossplay pairing code. Once linked, it tells crossplay.ing every few minutes whether Geyser and Floodgate are running, what its check found, and which console players tried to join.
Without a pairing code it only contacts GeyserMC: to fetch console players' skins when they join (turn off with bedrock-skins.enabled: false), and to download Geyser and Floodgate if you turned the installer on.
Commands
- /chloe, /chloe check, /chloe fix, /chloe installer on|off, /chloe blindspots, /chloe reload: permission chloe.admin (op)
- /cmenu: permission chloe.menu (everyone)
With Crossplay (paid)
With Crossplay, console players add your server as a friend and press Join. No DNS settings, no IP to type. Works on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. Setup takes about ten minutes, once: you make a free Microsoft account for your server and the panel walks you through the rest. Your dashboard shows who got in, with a Block button, and you get a Discord message when something goes down. From £4.99 a month: crossplay.ing
Disclosures
- Paid features: the Crossplay section needs a Crossplay subscription (from £4.99 a month). Everything else is free.
- Promotion: this page links to Crossplay, a paid service run by the same developer. Chloe shows no ads in game or in the console.
- Data: without a pairing code, Chloe only contacts GeyserMC (console players' skins when they join, and Geyser and Floodgate downloads if you turn the installer on). With a pairing code it also reports to crossplay.ing as described under Data. Privacy policy: crossplay.ing/privacy.html
- Files it changes: /chloe fix, the installer and managed setup edit other plugins' configs and jars in your server folder, only when you use them or turn them on, with a backup of every file first.
- AI: Chloe's code and this page were written with an AI coding assistant (Claude), directed, reviewed and tested by the developer on a live server.
