One chop at the base of a tree brings down every connected log above it with Tree Capitator, an add-on for faster wood gathering.
Any axe works, including axes from other add-ons. Axe durability is used up based on the total number of logs broken, and operators can adjust or disable this in a dedicated in-game settings menu. Sneaking while chopping breaks a single block, and all wood types are supported. The add-on needs Experimental Features turned on because it uses scripting APIs, and both the behavior pack and the resource pack must be applied to the world.
