Random Curses is a Minecraft Java datapack where every new player receives one random curse. While there are fewer online players than curses, each curse stays unique — no two people share the same one. Once the lobby is full, repeats become possible.
The curses
- Grounded — you cannot jump
- Exposed — you cannot wear armor; anything equipped is dropped
- Insomniac — beds and respawn anchors are blocked, and your spawn point is permanently locked
- Pacifist — you cannot hit mobs
- Fragile Hands — you cannot break blocks
- Glass Heart — only 1 health point
- Single Slot — only hotbar slot 1 works; the rest are locked with barriers
- Bound Inventory — only the hotbar is usable; inventory slots are locked
- Empty Grave — on death, all items vanish without a trace
- Everhunger — constant starvation
- Eternal Night — permanent blindness and darkness
- Twin Affliction — two random curses at once
- Triple Affliction — three random curses at once
Twin and Triple can include any curse, but never the same effect twice.
