Gently Holds Mod (26.3, 1.20.1) – Pick Up Animals and Carry Mobs in Your Hands

Gently Holds Mod lets you pick up mobs and carry them as items in your inventory. You can crouch and right-click an animal to put it directly into your hand. It lets you place the mob back on the ground whenever you want or even wear it on your head as a hat. This mod makes moving your farm animals and pets simple without needing leads or minecarts.

Features:

Configuration:

• entity_restriction: Sets which mobs can be picked up, such as all animals, non-monsters, or tamed pets.
• max_width: Sets the maximum block width of mobs that can be picked up.
• max_height: Sets the maximum block height of mobs that can be picked up.
• empty_hands: Requires both hands to be empty before you can grab a mob.
• spawn_drop: Drops the mob back into the world if the item is dropped from inventory.
• can_wear_hat: Toggles whether mob items can be placed in your helmet slot.
• creative_tab: Adds a dedicated creative menu tab containing mob items.
• animated: Toggles moving 3D mob icons inside inventory screens.
• entity_whitelist: Lists specific mobs that can always be picked up regardless of other rules.
• entity_blacklist: Lists specific mobs that can never be picked up.

How to Use:

1. Make sure both of your hands are empty.
2. Walk close to a small animal or pet.
3. Hold Shift and Right-Click on the mob to pick it up into your hand.
4. Right-Click the ground to place the mob down, or move it to your helmet slot to wear it.
