players? Are you completely exhausted from building massive, laggy mob farms just to get enough XP to enchant your gear? Do you hate sitting in one spot for hours just to get a decent sword? I was tired of it too.
I wanted a reason to actually go out and explore my world without falling behind on gear progression. So, I created the Walk to Enchant add-on. This completely changes how you upgrade your items in the game.
You do not need an enchanting table, you do not need lapis lazuli, and you definitely do not need to grind zombies. All you have to do is hold your gear and literally just walk around your world.
How the walking system works
I made the mechanics as simple and seamless as possible. Whenever you hold a compatible tool, weapon, or wear armor, the add-on quietly tracks your movement in the background. For every five blocks you walk, your item automatically gains one full enchantment level.
You will hear a custom sound effect and see your new level pop up right on your action bar. Just go out, explore a cave, run across a desert, or build your base, and your gear will naturally become incredibly overpowered while you do it.
And do not try to cheat the system by using teleport commands or ender pearls; the tracker is smart enough to ignore massive distance jumps. You actually have to put in the legwork.
The No-Limits Leveling System
Vanilla Minecraft puts a hard cap on enchantments at level 255. Honestly, that is just boring. I wanted to see how crazy things could get, so I coded a custom No-Limits lore system.
Once your item hits level 255, the vanilla counter stops, but my custom tracker keeps going straight into the thousands. The actual level is beautifully displayed in your item's lore text so you can easily see exactly how overpowered your gear is getting as you keep walking.
Weapon Damage and Armor Protection
Getting a massive level number is cool, but I made sure it actually impacts your gameplay in a huge way. If you are holding a sword, axe, bow, or trident, the add-on applies a raw custom damage bonus every time you hit an enemy, scaling endlessly with your level.
You can literally one-shot bosses if you walk long enough. For your armor, I fixed the vanilla limitations so that the Protection enchantment actually works and reduces incoming damage properly up to level 255. You can also level up your pickaxes, shovels, and hoes with Efficiency to instantly melt through solid stone blocks.
The Control Panel
I know you might not want to level up every single item all the time, or you might just want to check your total walking stats. I added a custom Control Panel that you can access instantly just by right-clicking a normal compass.
It opens a clean UI menu that shows you exactly how many blocks you have walked in total, what item you are holding, and its current level. You can also pause the walk-tracking entirely from this menu if you want to save your progress or just play normally for a bit.
Milestones and Flexing
To make the grind feel extremely rewarding, I added a custom milestone system. When your gear reaches massive levels like 100, 255, 1000, or even an insane 10000, huge celebration titles will flash across your screen with epic sound effects. It is the ultimate way to flex your dedication and show your friends who the real grinder on the server is.
