Infinite Opportunities!

This is my first attempt at creating a fun multiplayer minecraft mod, made for a group of minecraft players to beat the game in survival without commands. It is similar to difficulty mods, adding more challenge for skilled players to find more variety in the game!

Setup Instructions:

Each player and the server must have the mod for all parts of it to work. If you only have it on client, it will seem like its working but it cannot run the commands. Players without the mod joining sometimes causes issues on the serverside, so I reccomend adding a white-list if you are hosting a server.

Epilepsy warning - there are some flashing lights in this mod. Also, there are some annoying sounds, but they are all on the "Player" sound slider in your settings. For the most immersive experience (to lose all sanity), I reccomend turning this to 100%. Alternitively, if it gets annoying, just turn it off. The best way to play this mod is dive straight in without context. It might take a second for you to even see the effect of the mod on the game, but just try /effect give @s inf: to see if the mod is working. It should show a list of four custom effects. If you are still curious about the mod and want to hear all the details before setting it up, here you go:

Spoilers Ahead!

The only gimmick with this mod is really quite simple. A new bar is added for survival mode players only that bounces around on their sceen like the dvd logo. This is the Rave Bar. As it fills up, which is does in a variety of random colors and lengths, it gets quicker and quicker bouncing on your screen untill it finally vanishes, and plays a random sound with a random particle.

This will trigger a random a event from nearly anything in the entire game happening. It could give you a random effect, summon a random entity at a random position around you, teleport you, fling you, give you items or take them away, place or remove blocks, and more.

This means at first, it really isn't all that bad. But that quickly changes. The longer your character is on the world, the quicker the bar both appears and fills up. And that's not even the worst news.

The Rave Bar also has a very low chance of giving you the Rave effect, which makes you constantly make these random events happen, one every gametick. This means you are causing an unplayable amount of chaos for all your friends and yourself. When this happens, you really just have to hope you die quickly.

A Challenge:

My friends and I managed to beat the mod in about two hours. If you get a faster time, and want to share your strategies, I'd love to hear about it!

Good luck and have fun!
