# Repairable Anvils
Tired of your anvil falling apart after a few uses? Now you can **repair it with iron ingots**, just like an Iron Golem!
## How It Works
Hold an **Iron Ingot** and **right-click** a worn anvil:
| Anvil State | Result |
|---|---|
| **Damaged Anvil** | → becomes a **Chipped Anvil** |
| **Chipped Anvil** | → becomes a fully repaired **Anvil** |
| **Anvil** (undamaged) | Opens the anvil menu as usual |
Each repair uses **one iron ingot** and restores **one damage stage**. You need two ingots to take a Damaged Anvil back to perfect condition.
If the anvil is already undamaged, nothing changes. It opens normally, so you can keep an iron ingot in hand without any trouble.
## Features
- **Vanilla-friendly:** Adds no new blocks or items. It extends a mechanic the game already has, the same way you heal Iron Golems with iron.
- **Keeps orientation:** A repaired anvil keeps the direction it was facing.
- **Feedback:** A repair plays the Iron Golem repair sound and the anvil sound, and shows happy villager particles.
- **Creative mode:** Ingots aren't used up in Creative.
- **No accidental repairs:** Holding down right-click won't use up a stack of ingots. Each stage needs its own click.
- **Multiplayer safe:** If two players repair the same anvil at the same moment, it only goes up one stage and only one ingot is used.
- **Lightweight:** A single small script that only runs when you right-click an anvil.
## Requirements
- Minecraft: Bedrock Edition **1.21.120** or newer
- No experimental toggles required
## Installation
1. Download the `.mcaddon` file and open it. Minecraft will import it automatically.
2. Enable the **Repairable Anvils** behavior pack in your world's settings.
3. Grab some iron and start repairing!
## Compatibility
Repairable Anvils only works with the vanilla anvils (`anvil`, `chipped_anvil`, `damaged_anvil`) and doesn't change any vanilla files. It should work alongside most other add-ons.
