🛡️ Bedrock Protect

Bedrock Protect is an advanced, fully configurable anti-cheat add-on for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, created by NexiumLabs.

Built for survival worlds, realms-style communities, and Bedrock Dedicated Servers, Bedrock Protect watches for suspicious player behavior in real time while using violation buffers, grace periods, exemptions, and configurable thresholds to reduce false positives.

Supported Minecraft versions: Bedrock 26.40 and 26.50

✨ Features

🔎 Detection Modules

Movement

Combat

World & Inventory

Bedrock add-ons cannot inspect raw network packets like a native proxy or packet-level server anti-cheat. Bedrock Protect focuses on behavior that can be observed reliably through the Bedrock Script API.

⚙️ Opening the Admin UI

Operators can open Bedrock Protect in three ways:

Chat shortcut

Type:

!bp

or:

!bedrockprotect

The message is intercepted and will not be broadcast in chat.

Settings item

Rename any item to:

BedrockProtectSettings

Use the item to open the panel.

Script event

/scriptevent nexiumlabs:bedrock_protect/settings

If an operator-permission API is unavailable in a particular server environment, grant the admin tag manually:

/tag @s add bedrockprotect.admin

🧭 Admin Panel

The in-game dashboard contains separate pages for:

Nearly every important detection threshold can be changed without leaving Minecraft.

🎚️ Sensitivity Presets

Conservative

Best when false positives are your highest concern. Thresholds are more forgiving and punishments require more accumulated VL.

Balanced

The default and recommended starting point for most worlds and servers.

Aggressive

Stricter thresholds intended for controlled environments. Test carefully before using on a public server.

🚨 Violation & Punishment System

Bedrock Protect builds a player's Violation Level (VL) when multiple suspicious signals are observed.

Default behavior:

All values can be changed from the in-game UI.

The local ban system is stored with the world and can be managed from Maintenance & Bans.

🏷️ Useful Tags

Bypass Bedrock Protect

/tag <player> add bedrockprotect.bypass

Receive Staff Alerts

/tag <player> add bedrockprotect.alerts

Grant Admin UI Access

/tag <player> add bedrockprotect.admin

Tag names can be changed from the admin UI.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the .mcaddon file.
  2. Open it with Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
  3. Edit or create your world.
  4. Enable Bedrock Protect under Behavior Packs.
  5. Enter the world as an operator.
  6. Type !bp to open the configuration panel.
  7. Start with the Balanced preset, then tune thresholds for your server.

For a Bedrock Dedicated Server, install the behavior pack in the server's behavior-pack directory and add it to the target world's pack list.

🧪 Compatibility

Bedrock Protect v1.0.0 targets the stable Script API available in Minecraft Bedrock 26.40 and remains compatible with 26.50.

The pack uses:

@minecraft/server 2.9.0
@minecraft/server-ui 2.0.0

Minecraft 26.40 released @minecraft/server 2.9.0, while stable API modules are designed to remain compatible with later stable versions in the same major line.

⚠️ Important Notes

No behavior-pack anti-cheat can guarantee detection of every cheat or eliminate every false positive. Server lag, custom movement systems, unusual add-ons, and extreme gameplay mechanics can affect heuristic checks.

For public servers:

  1. Start with Conservative or Balanced.
  2. Watch the detection log before enabling harsh punishments.
  3. Add legitimate custom mechanics to your exemption workflow.
  4. Keep automatic local bans disabled until your thresholds are proven on your server.

If you use another add-on that intentionally creates enchantments above vanilla levels, either disable Illegal Enchantments or raise its configured maximum. This check is disabled by default.
